Good Saturday morning, This is a great analysis of which offensive units/players are getting the job done.
Coach Luke has improved the OL this season and we have all but 1 starter returning.
Our best three receivers on the field at the same time are a nightmare for secondaries. Hopefully this will happen more frequently next season instead of the over rotating of WRs.
RB was our lowest rated position. We all now know that Mafah was never 100% at any time during the season. This led to low ratings in pass protection and a big drop off in production. It is curious that our other RBs were not given more opportunities. A lot of RBs returning next season, at least until the portal opens up again.
TE was the most difficult for me to get a hold of. Briny was far and away the best at catches, yards and TDS, but was a way below average blocker. Patt-Henry did a lot of the dirty work when it was needed, but can catch the ball extremely well. I like what he brings to the table. I’m interested to see who else steps up.
Of course our QB this year was extremely good even though sometimes his play was a little uneven. His last game shows what he is capable of. After, CK2, the jury is out. I’m interested to see the new lefty out of Florida.
Have a good day.

Great work as usual David (oops ... Ryan). A few thoughts:
O-Line: Miller is outstanding. Better pass than run blocker. Hopefully he's back and can fine-tune with Luke. Fine work by Tate and best to him in NFL goals. Linthicum outperformed expectations and prior starter in 2024. LG, RG, and RT positions starters may have inside track, but I hope all 3 positions are open for competition. May the best man win. Parks was better as an uninjured LT some years ago. His time may be past. A good man. Maybe backing up and coaching are in his future.
WR: Outstanding. Love Williams' performance and leadership in 2024. And Wesco and Moore changed the team trajectory. All three are superb with speed, hands, and NFL upside. Props to Grisham for getting out of basement with recruiting talent and progressing development.
TE: Best to Briny. More WR than TE but effective. Based on write-up, optimistic Patt-Henry can help improve team. Is Bentancur from Illinois on the way? Can he catch and block?
RB: No chart? Possibly out of respect to Mafah's injured season? Surprised to hear Mafah's blocking was poor. The injured running was brutal (17 yds in 17 carries vs. Louisville loss especially.) I hate to see Randall plugged in without a competition, but see he has potential as a goal line/1st down runner and blocking power back. Haynes, Eziomume, and Davidson could be stellar. Maybe two will stand out.
QB: Always believed Cade had the potential but was momentarily jarred by UGA opener. Then the light came on. Appreciate Klubnik's work ethic and the proof is in his massive improvement.
Clemson's 2025 potential on Offense is massive with Klubnik under center, RB(s) emergence, continued Luke evolution of OL skill sets, and skill player ego's in check. Go Tigers!

Just to clarify, Mafah was in the 70s. He was above average on the season as a whole. I just didn't make a chart because there was only 1 player to show. Jay Haynes didn't get enough snaps so it was kind of a waste. Plus, Mafah was awesome in the first half and then fell off with the labrum so showing his season average was kind of pointless.
Also worth noting - Mafah was rating low in pass blocking last year too. Just never something he mastered. Remember the missed block vs. FSU that led to the scoop-and-score?

Good work RYAN, as always. Also, as always, the devils in the details. We do have a qb. We do have some wr's. Matt did an excellent job with what he had. Maybe Ryan L can improve. All our oline need dancing lessons but Luke knows that.
As for mafah, peeps can defend him and hide behind injuries for fear of getting TD 's but he never learned how to block in his career. Peeps get on Spiller, but he didn't have much to work with. Hopefully the new recruits will tell us if he's a coach or not. He has talent now.
As for our TE. Not sure if that's Dabo's stubbornness because he loved him some briny, or position coach, but Olsen should have been on the field more.
Dabo said something after the Texas game that I hope wasn't just coachspeak. He said we had work to do in All areas. I hope he's serious.
Would love to see Kantor do this same pff grading on 6 opponents (uga, Texas, VA tech, Pitt, scar, and Louisville) . Which imo would give you a better idea of how we would stack up.
Yes, we have a qb. But it's fools gold to base what our offense did against Texas as a barometer. Texas had good D numbers because of the QB'S (or lack thereof) that propelled them to have great numbers.
