IMO that's a good start, but they need to take it 12, 13, 14, 15 steps further ahead than just the first game of the start of next season. They need to take that disappointment, that embarrassment, and that anger all the way through next season, and allow all of those feelings bottled up to grow after every game, can I get an Amen!!!

Thank you Mike for the heartfelt thoughts on getting a good ole' fashion A$$ kicking. DABO and the coaching staff lost the last 2 games for the TIGERS!! I hope DABO and the coaching staff was watching that good ole' fashion A$$ kicking TCU got last nite also and can learn from the DOGS coaching and player physicality. Realistically you have to have an NFL caliber Team if you plan on ever, ever competing for the CFP again. You have to have BIG beef on the OL and DL and 4.2, 4.5 speed on the edges and backers and secondary. I don't see any Team in the ACC in the near future that can compete with the SEC and B1G top 7 in the CFP rankings. Even Bennett is fast, he turned the corner last nite and left that outside Line backer in his dust, LOL Unless DABO and Company makes a major step forward in upping their game and using the portal, player development I see the TIGERS struggling for another ACC Championship. Sure, he recruits good players, but you've got to have élite skilled players in all positions and develop these guys very quickly. He wasted 2 freaking years with the DJU experiment!! He can't continue with this thought process another year or he will surely be left in the FSU, ND dust cloud. The mediocre ACC Clemson has been competing in is starting to see a few Teams step their games up and are on the TIGERS heels. Good Luck to DABO and the TIGERS.

4.2 speed hmmm. So let's get Henry Ruggs out of prison, convert him to an edge rusher and check and see if Usain Bolt or Skeets Nehemiah have any eligibility left at OLB or corner. As far as O-Line if we can sign a class of Boselli and Ogden types at Tackles, Quentin Nelsons at G and Mike Webster/Dwight Stephenson types at C. we are right back in the hunt.
Brilliant! Simply Brilliant

Most predict Bolt at his prime could run a 3.97 40. Could you imagine that?

Most people on here deep down inside feel the same way you feel. They just refuse to expand it like you did. Some are still delusional and are like Dabo who refuse to adapt to the changing landscape of College Football. Clemson has fallen off the last 2 years and unless some major changes are brought in, we will continue to see a drastic decline. We have to realize FSU and Miami are getting better, while we are dropping off a little each year. I am tired of hearing about how we won the ACC Championship. Yet people do not want to bring up that we lost to only 3 out of conference teams that were any good.

OH yeah, and speaking of coaching mistakes, #1 in that game was not kicking a freaking chip shot field goal on the first possession which would have given your offense a shot of achievement and confidence on the first possession. Points on the freaking board!!
#2 letting your hamburger son run a fake field goal attempt.
#3,4,5,6 and 7 not punting the F$#king ball to pin the VOLS down and letting the defense do their thing. Bad memories are staring to come back from that nite, sorry, I'm regressing!!! SMFH DABO !!!

There are plenty of TNet goofballs who applaud every trick play success, calling it a ‘want to win’ and ‘outsmarting the opposing team’s hopelessly stupid coach.
These same goofball fans are the first to blast the coaches when a trick play fails.
Grow up.

I am always reminded of something I read YEARS ago when I read the comments from Tigernet. I think it was from an old Southwest conference coach. “There are two things every American Male can do: 1. Operate a BBQ grill and 2: Coach football.

There is an excellent piece on The Athletic site about Kirby Smart, which includes this quote: “The way he goes about everyday business at our university, what he demands from the coaches, all the details he requires us to know,” said Georgia running backs coach Dell McGee, who has been with Smart during his entire tenure as a head coach. “He doesn’t let small things slide, whether it’s disciplining our players, how we dress, just having everything in line in our organization working in the same direction — in all facets, whether it’s academics, weight training, nutrition. There’s just no stone unturned.”
That could easily describe Dabo—well at least at one time. I think we are extremely lucky to have Dabo. The question is, does the above description of Smart still fit Dabo, too?

The Tigers will respond from this season in a very posstive way. They have too many good players and coaches not too! Other teams within the league are improving and that is exactly what we need to happen,
Clemson has been a little down for a couple of seasons. We all know this and I think most of us know why we Have not been at our best. Thankfully we will enter next season with new leadership on the field and a different attitude about the game, Everyone will learn from these last two years and I’m sure the team spirit will improve as we prepare for 2023.
Beginning the season without a good ranking likely will be a good thing. Regardless of what some of you think… Clemson is still Clemson. We will continue to get every opponents best shot. Beating the Tigers is always going to be a big deal for every team on the schedule. I don’t see Dabo and his staff allowing that to happen.
All this negative jabber does nothing to improve our team. No one at Clemson cares what you think. Our friends in Columbia are well ahead of some of you so called fans. Be a supporter not a “fan”! Fans are a dime a dozen. Negativism does nothing. NOTHING.

Thanks I’ve been an avid Tiger fan and supporter since the 60’s when I was a student and I cannot accept those who degrade what I hold so dear. If you are to foolish to see all the positives associated with coach Swinney then you live in a world far, far away from mine. When the Tigers win a dozen games next year all the naysayers will be back on board.
Coach Swinney has improved the Atlantic Coast Conference. He has shown the college football world that the ACC can be a player in college football. Other teams are improving as a result of Swinneys efforts. That’s a good thing. A very good thing!

Here’s a thought …

Maybe after playing and humiliating Furman, Ga Tech, and La Tech, Tiger players and coaches should spend less time dancing and more time focusing on opportunities for improvement.
Also, younger more talented players should get more reps earlier in the season, and the less talented older bets should be put to pasture sooner. Just my two cents worth.
