Logistically, I don't see how a basketball merger would work with all the teams, but getting a chance to play some of the iconic Big east teams would be awesome.

Yes, i.like the idea of playing a couple of games with the Big East teams in late January or early February one home and away games to improve SOS.

Logistically, I don't know who thought it would be a great idea to send our athletic teams all the way to California, but it's happening. I don't see how a bigger conference is going to help, especially when it's probably basketball only. UVA losing its h.c. didn't help them. FSU/Miami/wfu are all having off years. Unc is hot and cold. It would seem that this year is an aberration. Then again, sec/ big 10 are getting all the hype. Stands to reason that kids will go their. Nil has got to be making a difference, too

It would be cool to see the ACC and Big East schedule a small

slate of games in that Jan/Feb window. With our numbers being so different, Big East would need to schedule 3 games cross-conference and ACC programs 2. Could schedule it as a mid-week, a weekend, then the following mid-week to ensure all can fit in the requisite games. Beyond that though an actual merger would just bring us all that much further down.

Love Coach Brownell's answer:
Just that we're trying to prepare to play our best basketball, and you got to continue to have great practices,” Brownell said. “You got to build really good habits through practice and your play. We've got a game against Notre Dame here on Wednesday, a team that beat us last year. We had a hard time guarding Marcus Burton and Tae Davis. Both guys were a problem, so we certainly have our full attention on Notre Dame and what we have in front of us this week, but I think our guys have done a good job for the most part with that. We have an older group. As you mentioned, there is a lot of talking in the community about the excitement of the ACC and NCAA tournaments. That's to be expected, but we still are trying to compete for an ACC regular season championship. We talked about it a while back. Obviously, we need some help from Duke, but I think our guys are still motivated and hungry to do the best they can each time out.”
