Tigers messed up in not signing JERIAN GRANT

Mar 14, 2015, 1:51 AM

He certainly turned out to be the best of Harvey's sons in terms of basketball ability (though he did have the academic fraud). Complete all-around player that Clemson could have really used the past 4 years. Not flashy or an attention hog, but ends up with 20+ points & a dozen rebounds before you realize what has happened.

Well, obviously.***

Pretty sure he chose the Irish instead of us not offering him.

Certain Clemson never had a chance to get him. He would have been great with KJ. Nice 1two punch.

Clemson made no mistake , he never really showed any interest in Clemson.
The next step for us would have been kidnapping.
Good player though.

"we're willing to settle for mediocrity" myth among the Clemson fan base.

The idea that our coaches ignore great players who would come to Clemson if only they were asked.

Exactly, I'll bet few realize we've offered several 5 stars

To me it is not about "not signing" him or Jerami

Mar 14, 2015, 9:45 AM

BTW, Jerami is younger, played at Syracuse, and turned pro last season- if some of you didn't know that.

The thing I can't understand is how neither of these guys wanted to come to Clemson. It is very difficult for me to imagine my older brother playing basketball at a D1 program and me not wanting to follow in his shoes.

With all the opportunity to hear about Clemson, wear Clemson gear, visit Clemson, but then not be a Tiger. That's frustrating.

Harvey was less disciplined and coachable then Horace!

Mar 14, 2015, 11:13 AM

Harvey for whatever reason did not mesh with the Tiger staff when he was here that is why he ended up at Oklahoma. So, his son's where not influenced to come or even consider Tiger Town! We probably were not very high on the son's radar. We cannot blame BB and staff for not signing them if the kid does not want to come then you not going to sign them!
