Tigernetters, unite

Note: Crump I apologize but I am breaking the rules tonight, you can delete my post later; I ask that you leave it up for a few to read....

For those who posted vile comments regarding potential DC Steve Dunlap as well as Coach Bowden.s judgment regarding his choice for DC, my response to you is a front on verbal assault. There is no way that you can be a Clemson fan or an alumni. Leave this board and find another place to discuss Clemson athletics. Your posts are pure ignorance and demonstrate the insight of a gnat. One poster went as far as to call Steve Dunlap a .loser.. Mind you, not one person on the board has ever met the man, nor do know his schemes, his knowledge of football, the levels of talent he has coached, his convictions, not one single make of the man. Shame on you for coming to this or any board and speaking this way about Coach Dunlap and Coach Bowden. If we are fortunate enough to have Dunlap or any other coach join our staff and lead our athletes in action, we should thank them and welcome them aboard.

As for this loud, but small minority of posters whose idea of being informed is reading one headline a day, I ask you to leave this board.

I failed to realize that our board was made up of both current and ex-head coaches from successful division one programs. Your direct insight and first hand knowledge of the candidates is ...well pure fiction. Lets site your list of qualifications for suggesting that you no best:
None of you are the Head Coach at Clemson University; None of you are currently a successful head coach, (nor an assistant coach) at an NCAA college; your idea of recruiting insight is to read recruiting dribble by self proclaimed gurus; None of you attend practice every day with our players; None of you meet with the kids on the team on a regular basis; None of you spend every night and weekend chasing good student/athletes for Clemson University; None of you spend summers at coaching clinics and camps; None of you go to coaching conventions and meet with head and assistant coaches from programs around the nation; None of you make decisions in front of 80,000 fans for a victory or loss; None of you are the person whose job it is 24/7, 365 days a year, to make Clemson successful..... Are you delusional enough to think that you as a fan, or as a big money contributor, know whom the appropriate personnel and coach for our program should be? Not only do you think you know best for our program, but you have the gall to publicly post that these .mistakes. and flame these leaders ...

Everyone has an opinion? Maybe so, but an opinion must have validity. Take a step back, understand your role, understand your true limitations of first hand information; then, apologize to Coach Dunlap, should we have the fortune to have him join our staff in the next few days.

This is not a post about following blindly, it is a post about knowledgeable support of the team you claim to support. If you don.t know what you are talking about, don.t post negative comments about the people working for my favorite institute. These posts are beneath the dignity of fans support Clemson University. You shame yourselves with these types of ignorant, uninformed posts....

Good evening,
CT
