Tiger fans may not want to hear it, but I

expect Clowney, in conjuction with JJ Watt, to have a pretty excellent year. It's been a lot of fun having a laugh at his expense, but I think he is ready to answer the critics. That said, he may not be from Clemson, but I like to cheer for success and greatness rather than failure. He was good for the Clemson Coot rivalry, and whatever may come in his future, I wish him good health for it to happen.
That said, I still take Beasley or Jarrett any day.
Thoughts? (Insert crayon notes here?)

Now that he doesn't have to ever worry about money, why wouldn't he be motivated by playing well?

While you explaining that remind us what his motivation was to perform when he knew he was a first round pick. i think you'll discover he's lazy and accomplished enough for his purpose.

some intrinsic work ethic to get to the NFL. Add in the news with his dad, his inability to perform due to injury, and maybe a little ego drive to be the baddest boy on the block and I think its a perfect storm.
Does it effect me? Absolutely not. But with the NFL season starting and all the Clowney posts on here, the post seemed relevant.

He just went through a lazy phase. . So

continues to be a bust...I couldn't care less really. I'd prefer to see him have a good career as opposed to an injury ending it too soon. But in the end, it really doesn't matter to me.

So he must be.
Seriously - they said on the show Hard Knocks, he's been working very hard to get back on the field and play at a high level. I believe them.
They also say that D Hop wants a man bag so that he can carry a yippee dog everywhere he goes. It's European and he likes it.

The Devil has been good...

The Devil has been good for Christianity as far as convincing some that being saved is better than going to hell, but that still doesn't mean that I support Satan. Please don't read this to mean that I think vajaveon is the Devil. He would never be willing to work that hard. I still believe that he is a punk and the NFL players will make sure that he suffers for his attitude until he grows up and begins acting like a man or they run him off of every team he is associated with. Maybe one day he will become a man and put his talents to use, but I wouldn't put any money on that bet.

I think Clowney is an amazing talent.....

but I also think he is pi$$ing it away because he's so friggin' lazy and has such a poor work ethic.
I agree with what another poster said, he needs to grow-up, start putting all that talent to use, and start earning that large salary or the NFL will eat him alive and spit him out.

I'll never understand why people post about the dirt-peckers on this board.

L-A-Z-Y. The question is really about his maturity level. Is he a hard working man now, ready to give his all or is he still a lazy, self-centered adolescent?

I don't wish him anything. He is on his own. If Texans do well and Nuk prospers great. That's my only concern

Bottom Line Last Time He Did Anything Was 3 Years Ago
Sep 10, 2015, 12:18 PM
|

and that was in college. He was averageish his last year at USUC and has been injured otherwise. No reason to believe he will be great.
