The allocation of tickets made sense. There were specified days for ticket pickup based on your year. All freshman received Hill tickets and you slowly crept down the field each year. I cannot recall exactly, but I believe we were on the 10-15 yard line by Senior year. Students had to make a legitimate effort to get in line in the stated time frame or hope that there were leftover tickets on Friday. You were invested in the process and the people in line wanted to watch football. They were less concerned about what idiotic bow tie or sundress they were going to wear. Organizations still had their block of tickets and they routinely filled in all of their seats. I am uncertain how they exactly dole out the tickets now , but students should have to jump through some hoops. I feel people would be more inclined to use the ticket if they actually had to put forth effort to acquire one. A sparse hill is unacceptable and Brent Musberger has endorsed this message!
