But this is why the polls are so useless. A 1 loss FSU team is going to have a much easier time finishing top ten than a 1 loss Clemson team just because of where people vote them in the preseason. The polls and computer rankings would be so much more accurate if they waited 4-6 weeks after the season started.

Im with you 100%. I have said this for years, preseason polls are a joke and any fan base ...**cough coots ** brags about it is naieve.

good thing that came from that disgrace of a championship was we finally got a playoff its just 4 teams but its a big step

when we were dominant, we may have been picked to win the conference one time when we won it. I mean, every year it was North Carolina,Maryland,GT,etc.

With our rebuilding O-line and FSU's proven D-line, along with the fact that the game is being played in Doak this year...it's really a no brainer to pick FSU.

by voting for it in polls. Never has, never will. Consider the media surrounding the other ACC schools and compare them to Greenville.
There is no downside to this issue for Clemson. Our worst enemy for the past 30 years has been our ego. The media polls pretty much take care of that. Seems we usually fare better when we are underdogs in a football game.
The only thing worse than having a team that believes it can't win is having a team that believes that it can't lose.
