It is official: Downtime has come upon us. Therefore, it seems worth reviewing the TNet highlights of the past 12 months: Mid-June 2023 – Mid-June 2024.
I am sure there are many highlights that I have missed. My apologies for missing them! Please add any highlight that I have missed that you think should have been included. In particular: There were many, many answered prayer requests that could have and perhaps should have made this list of highlights. There were too many to include them all, so please accept my apologies for the ones I have missed.
Again, please do add other highlights to this discussion however you see fit!
June 2023: clover65®’s grandson is awarded a $1,000 scholarship thanks to clover65’s service in Viet Nam. Clover65’s grandson and the $1,000 both make their way to Clemson in the Fall!!
July 2023: ClemsonTiger1988® finds the perfect door for the project car (‘85 300 SD Mercedes) he is restoring for his daughter-in-law’s belated graduation gift. She knows she won’t actually receive the car until ClemsonTiger1988 is “a resident of Heaven.” Here’s hoping that the restoration goes perfectly – AND that she won’t get the car for a long, long time!
August 2023: oh_its_JimmyHEYHEY® hears it “directly from Gary” that Clemson will be joining the BIG. Press announcement will occur at 3:00! It is still unclear as to which day that 3:00 announcement will occur.
September 2023: Calford and SMU are added to the ACC. TNet collectively throws up in its mouth a little bit.
October 2023: Beamer breaks his foot after (another) South Carolina loss. The broken foot poses challenges for Beamer since he typically keeps his foot inside his mouth.
October 2013: tugalooriver® moves into his new house. Fire took away the previous structure. Fortunately, it could not take away his heart!
October 2023: Francis Marion® announces himself as Deputy Moderator of TNet. All TNetters beware! (TNetters continue to await actual confirmation of FM’s self-disclosed title.)
October 2023: Dabo is not happy with fans who think the program is crumbling unless the Tigers are undefeated. Fortunately, those fans only represent 1.5% of Clemson Nation.
October 2023: RevDodd reappears to offer perspective and guidance for Clemson fans as we work through some challenges in the Clemson football season. Gird up thy loins, TNetters! FWIW: After the good rev’s sermon, the Tiger football team does not lose another game! Coincidence??
October 2023: Tyler from Spartanburg shares his opinions on the state of the football program. Dabo responds with his own opinion – which differs significantly from Tyler’s. Clemson wins every game following Tyler’s comments! Again: Coincidence??
November 2023: Dabo becomes the winningest Head Coach in Clemson football history with a win over Notre Dame. Congratulations to Coach Swinney! Dabo then breaks his own record in EVERY game since!
November 2023: Tigerbalm1 opens a new personal protection service for Clemson fans visiting Columbia. This service allows TNetters to navigate some dicey situations through the Coot parking lots to see Clemson defeat the Gamechickens.
December 2023: 261tiger watches his son play his final college football game with Furman – a tough, hard-fought playoff loss at Montana. With tears in his eyes, the son asks his Dad “What do I do now?” 261tiger responds with love and assures his son that the lessons of football will serve him well throughout his life! Well said, 261tiger! Well said!
December 2023: The Clemson Men’s Soccer Team wins the 2023 National Championship! TNet Celebrates!
December 2023: colberttiger® shares a tweet from the Miami Dolphins of Christian Wilkins making Christmas brighter for underprivileged children. Wilkins takes 50 kids on a holiday shopping spree. Outstanding, Mr. Wilkins!!
December 2023: turf2 posts a picture of the many boxes of Gamecockopoly that went unsold. “Not a big seller” as turf2 pointed out. CUGRAD1980® responds by explaining that the Gamecokopoly game was the “only game you play for 120 years and never win.”
December 2023: FSU files suit against the ACC. Interesting times for sure!!
December 2023: Mafah sets Gator Bowl record with 4 touchdowns as Clemson beats Kentucky. Briningstool bear hugs him and carries him the final yard for the game-winner!
January 2024: MyfavOrange® interrupts two separate threads to discuss duck hunting escapades. Each thread was in honor of a great TNetter, TigerzzRoar® and sabletiger®, for achieving milestone point totals. Don’t be surprised if MyfavOrange threadjacks this thread with his duck hunting exploits at any moment.
January 2024: InspectorM® battles the snow in his Northern Virginia neighborhood. TNet appreciates the pictures of his neighborhood buried in feet of frozen snow. Some TNetters request InspectorM to send some of the snow their way. Others sigh a bit of relief that they are not the ones who are buried in it.
January 2024: TNet witnesses an Avatar Reformation. Jedi Kermit® finds excellent new avatars for fellow TNetters: BloodbeOrange®, MyfavOrange, and TigerzzRoar. Tugalooriver then designs an excellent new avatar for GaTiger5®.
February 2024: Young girls across the country become Chiefs fans. These are the same girls who know Chiefs star TE Travis Kelce only as “Taylor’s Boyfriend.” TNet rolls its collective eyes.
February 2024: At the request of MyfavOrange, TNet calls a cease-fire day. All posters are expected to get along for a day. Most TNetters get the memo. A few apparently still need to work on their comprehension skills.
February 2024: Clemson softball’s first game of the season is only broadcast on some early 2000s tech called the “Gamechanger” app. This app tests everyone’s patience as it freezes consistently and fails to keep up with the game. Fortunately, this Gamechanger experience occurs on TNet’s Ceasefire Day (see above), otherwise, someone is definitely going to end up getting hurt.
February 2024: We count down the final days until Pig®’s Retirement. Congrats, Pig!
March 2024: A Gamechicken pitcher skips around the infield like a preschool child after striking out a Clemson batter. After throwing the final pitch of the night – which was blasted 400 feet into the night by Clemson’s Andrew Cuifo – the little Chicken stops skipping and heads home with another “L” attached to his record.
March 2024: Clemson files lawsuit against the Atlantic Coast Conference! Most of TNet cheers!
March 2024: Clemson Basketball wins its way to the Elite Eight! Outstanding job, Basketball team! TNet celebrates the team’s impressive NCAA Tournament run!
April 204: Clemsonohiotiger (the TNetter now known as fleacircustrainer®) meets his birth mother for the first time. TNet sends its collective hearts along with him to the meeting!
April 2024: Gilbers72®, along with other members of Clemson’s Class of ’24, goes to class at Clemson for the final time. Several TNet members, being quite envious of Gilbers72’s status as a Clemson student, attempt to talk some sense into this young student against leaving. They suggest Gilbers skip at least one final exam, which, of course, would then delay graduation. That way Gilbers72 could stay at Clemson for one more football season … umm, I mean stay for one more semester.
April 2024: Protesting sweeps college campuses. The saddest part, however, is that the same students could have just as easily been protesting to get Clemson out of the ACC!
May 2024: 2k® posts a picture of a beautiful newborn Palomino! The newborn arrived much earlier than expected! What a great surprise!!
June 2024: CBProf posts highlights of the last 12 months on TNet!

Honored to be included in the recap - that grandson is included on the Dean's List for the year and tonight is headed to Costa Rica on a church mission trip. He also got to see that unforgettable game Sunday in person. Would give big Award except that I must save coins for all who will make their Weight Loss goal - might have underestimated the number who would sign up.
