Wake coach sat and watched this meltdown like it doesn’t matter or something. Handed LSU the lead with a pitcher who couldn’t find the zone. Also, does Kurtz have a problem on the big stage or something?

I think what you saw there was a coach who knows his team and has a ton of confidence in them. The pitcher just bounced back strong in the 4th. Wake will keep it close and fight their way back. It's what they do. It's also food that they have only used one pitcher so far and lsu has used 3 or 4. If wake doesn't win this game, neither LSU or Wake will be in a good position vs a rested Florida team

You get an early lead with a chance to close them out, I don’t get watching a guy putting a bunch of runners on then bouncing pitches by the catcher to move the runners. Sometimes you gotta put teams away. This pitcher still looks scared and clueless.

Unbelievable. He couldn't even throw a strike so the batter knew he was getting a fastball down the middle.
VA coach did the same thing.

But not putting them away after going up early, not closing the door, leaving a pitcher struggling mightily, and letting him give LSU all the gifts they needed to overcome will be regrettable if LSU hangs on. Because chances are next game Paul Skenes will shut Wake down and get LSU to Finals.

so it would be 5 days between starts. I know college starters typically only pitch once per week, but 5 days is still essentially full rest.

Agree, but he's coming back on short rest (for college) after throwing 126 pitches. We shall see?!
