and the sanctity of marriage to be dirty laundry. I really don't think these are as controversial WITHIN as you are making them out to be.
If anything the Dems are more split on gay marriage, Obama himself was against it until recently.

Same thing happened last week at the RNC when they screwed a bunch of Ron Paul's delegates then voted to change the delegation process.
Either way it is wrong but it isn't like these party planks mean anything. The RNC voted to ban abortions even in the case of rape which Romney has come out against.
