Incredible sacrifice back then. But today

we have grown men whining like little girls because they’re asked to make a simple sacrifice like wearing a mask for 15 minutes in a grocery store. And then we have the grown men who are afraid of needles. Oddly, these people claim to be patriots. Really they’re just wusses to the core.

If you’re so scared to see my maskless face in the grocery store, here’s an idea. Don’t go in the store and stay home. Have it delivered or send a friend. You have alternatives without trying to force others to do what you want them to do so you can feel better.

lolol...funny how anti-maskers claim "FrEDuM" to not wear masks but then want to prevent someone having free will from wearing one.
Who cares? It literally doesn't affect you one bit.

And here you are, trying to shame people into doing what YOU want them to do. Here's an idea, how about quietly letting people do what they want. It is a free county, right?

if it were only about the 99% survival rate, it would be a whole different story
but what about the percentage that gets hospitalized? what about the costs and stress on our entire health care system?
very early in the pandemic the Gov. of Mississippi (there's a flaming ####### for you )wrote a great piece about how stupid it would be to let the virus just run wild and try to achieve herd immunity.. basically, the state's health care system would be completely overwhelmed in just a few weeks and anyone else who needed care would be screwed

Clemson is shooting 57% from 3 and is leading by 10 and all you fools care about is whether people are wearing mask? Go find a politics website you clearly don’t care about discussing sports.

At least basketball is related to Clemson sports in some way. Still way more on topic than complaining about masks.

Now that the game is over and a big win for the Tigers.
I was in a waffle house today for lunch in the upstate. There were 4 or 5 people in there with mask on eating. They would pull mask down and take bite. Then mask up. Mask down then another bite. Same way when drinking. Dadgum
Go Tigers.......

While my son was in the hospital, I was flipping channels and came upon a SC women’s BB game. The players and coaches were all huddled up next to each other and the players were in each other’s faces all without masks. But all 3 refs were masked up the whole time. On what planet does this make sense? Covid insanity is out of control. Masks may be slightly useful in rare situations of close contact like dental and medical procedures, but how they are used in general public is a “feel good” placebo. The funniest one I’ve seen was a couple on a motorcycle going 70 mph down the interstate. Neither wore a helmet, but both were masked up. Real genius there.

scared to death. They take masking, social distancing, vaccination and masking again to a whole new level. Kind of sad.
I've been vax'd and have a booster, but I don't wear a mask unless I absolutely have to. I'm over it.

It depends where one is in Virginia (native here). Golden triangle and the 81 corridor are different. Even then Cville is a complete independent state of its own.
That being said, Virginia has had one of the better cohesive responses out of any state. Mortality rate is lower (0.0146). Infections is MUCH lower (1,040,000) - which is one of the smaller totals for a state nearing 9 million. Compare that to South Carolina 0.0154 of 950,000 cases. Their fatality rate both lower and infection rate is lower. Their economic recovery is a bit more mixed. They have been slower in recovery in many sectors but they also had one of the lower (and still do) unemployment rates (a near 10% less than SC). They actually dropped their unemployment rates faster than SC despite opening back up later. On an economic recovery side, they are tracking very similar to Georgia which was very aggressive about reopening.
