people to see it. A question, seeking a real answer.

MINIMUM age limits for holding US office says that to be President of the United States, you must be at least 35 years old. To be a Senator, you must be at least 30 years old. To be a member of the House of Representatives, you only have to be 25 years old. Given that increased wisdom normally comes with age, the question is:

Did the Founding Fathers intentionally mean to make one side of Congress dumber than the other? And BOTH branches dumber than the President?

Sirius replies only, please.

Since the founding fathers knew there were far more house members than in the Senate and only 1 POTUS, and they knew that there would be lots of fights in the house, they knew that would require younger people.

In today's political abyss, it seems there is a problem derived from
a lack of term limits for the whole lot including justices. Otherwise
we end up in the mess we have today with so many octogenarians.

I think it goes to consequences possible and also allowing for gaining experience. If you put it in a hierarchy it definitely goes house, senate, president. The consequences for electing a bad house rep is small, there’s 4x+ as many reps as senators so one inexperienced person won’t be able to do much damage on their own. senators then theoretically have been around a little longer, so there’s less of them, only 2 per state, and obviously only 1 president again theoretically with the most experience.

It’s unfortunate they didn’t set an age cap, but that’s probably because people didn’t live as long as they do now. We didn’t even have a retirement age until the mid 1900s for SS benefits. They really should put a cap now though preventing anyone older than the federal retirement age from seeking office. All these old fogies
in Washington are completely out of touch with the actual issues facing Americans today
