There's a state commission that decides that, and its probably too late

they won't let you go for a year and then become in state for the next like they used to.
They look at where you graduate HS and if you're only in state for school.
They don't care that her grandparents have paid SC taxes for 70+ years. In state would be affordable, out of state without any schollies really isn't.

Congratulations man! That's huge. You must be proud. It's even harder to get in as an out-of-stater. I've done some stuff in hiring and in graduate admissions.
