Allow me to help you get refocused.
John Thune is one among many Republicans who enjoys big contributions to pro-Thune / pro-Republican Party PACs.
It doesn’t matter to Thune and his ilk like John Cornyn and that big pharma also funds pro-Democrat Party PACs.
What matters to Thune and Cornyn is that PAC money keeps coming to them.

It drives the TDSers crazy that Trump cannot be bought-off by the pharma lobby. Pharma has donated big bucks to pro-Trump PACs, just as they have done with nearly every prominent national elected politician. Yet, Trump isn’t bought off by their donations.
This is another wooden stake in the heart of a horse manure Uniparty attack line against Trump. And hoo boy, does this drive the TDSers crazy.

No, someone is bought and paid for when he bends his political policies to satisfy the wishes of his big campaign (in this case, PAC) donors.
Thune (and Cornyn) are not bought and paid for as long as the subject of legislative interest is not a big PAC donor. So they’ve got that in their defense.

I don't, on the grounds that it's not a power granted to the POTUS in the Constitution. Congress has the power for this type of action, not the Executive. I believe that SCOTUS agrees with me based on prior rulings.
Or, perhaps, they don't agree with the federal government getting directly involved in pricing controls and prefer to leave that to the market to decide.

He's definitely not McMuffin; that guy has had the same writing style for over 20 years and gets easily butthurt. He also doesn't have a sense of humor, and Viking at least seems to have a little bit of one.
