I guess there is zero conversation, let's tell each other to shut up viciously, no room for disagreements to hear why someone may have valid point.
I guess this is how Social Media actually has evolved? There used to be a couple threads based on a topic, now it's a new thread for every new thought as if their thought is more important than to add to conversation.

IMO, its because many want the trophy post or pod. In other words, point chasers. If someone makes a post on your subject feel free to respond to it. Chances are if the response is worthy, the points will come.
Just a thought, a deterrent may be that TNet develop and add an algorithm that automatically gives the OP an automatic 100 TDs for a duplicate post.

We all cheer for the same team. Why be hateful to our own alumni. Always wonder why posters spew venom.
Good sense and warmth needs to take over.
PS. This is a bad year. No one expected it. Let's suck it up and still cheer the TIGERS.

I believe a lot of posters are not Alumni!? My guess is that a lot of fans that Clemson has accrued in the last few years are fans that moved to SC and have zero affiliation. But when you become a national brand we have to acknowledge the fandom that comes with it. It is unfortunate that humble fandom goes away and pure fandom must prevail.

I disagree with this statement above, although 100% I agree with the sentiment. This is a football board for football discussion and venting.
There are many Clemson fans that grew up Tiger fans from birth but did not attend Clemson. The allegiance and love for the program may be more heartfelt than the alumni in many cases. I ended up choosing to go to the College of Charleston and be near the beach/ make really good money serving in restaurants to make money through school. Then went up for the games. So many of us non-alumni have lived through the good and bad more so than newer alum. I remember watching the Nebraska game in 81 as a 7 year old and it has been more up than down since. This has to be one of the more disappointing performances by a team base on talent and expectations. This is not to discount anyone’s fandom though. Just making the point that there are many non-alum that are as invested in Tiger athletics. Note please do not start the non-alum vs alum convo off of this. We are ALL diehard Tiger fans period.

Well all fans are welcome. Never want to dissuade a fan from being a Clemson fan, alumni or not. Any fan of Clemson is more than welcome and that group will grow exponential as Clemson becomes a National Brand! But I was making an assumption that the fans that cuss another fan out immediately, calls them radical foul names immediately instead of having some communication are likely in one of two groups??? Either they are fans with zero affiliation beyond fandom and think cussing shows how much they love their team, and not necessarily their school!

So, so true. There were high expectations, no one expected it. It happens. We just need to enjoy what we DO have. We need NOT to get too high on the good, and not too low on the bad. It’s just football. GOOD POST.

I wouldn't be surprised as that generation grew up with Social Media where you can hide behind a cell phone. When people had to buy internet service and a computer, you had adults that enjoyed the discussion and the camaraderie of fans. Now any kid with parents phone or most kids in the 10yr range get phones nowadays. So now cell phone Mavericks come on and reply, often make comments just for the reaction. Don't care if they are rude, don't care if they offend anyone, it's just let's get a reaction.
