Josh Pate - Is Clemson Slipping

Good video Two takeaways 1. If Dabo puts Cade in the South Carolina game, Clemson is in the Playoffs. 2. Dabo’s lack of using the Portal is putting Clemson at a competitive disadvantage.

Just not the sycophants in the cult of Dabo!
Hard to believe so many grown men are so easily triggered, especially when trying to discuss something that Dabo himself discusses all the time, and of course points, and pulse and other such silliness!
This place is worse than Twitter or a sorority house!
It’s also hilarious to see how many grown men get butt hurt and fall for the banana in the tailpipe tricks so easily!
I’m still waiting on a lot of people to apologize for the attacks on posters during Covid who got everything right! Including myocarditis, and the dangers of the mRNA vaccines, which are not benign and are causing problems!
I have no problem with people that want to debate and argue in good faith. But stay on point. Ad hominem and other personal attacks and running to mommy and daddy, a.k.a. Crump and Bmeist because God forbid someone challenge that worldview, and they be incapable of defending it!

You’re actually surprised grown men are so easily triggered?

Try putting down Trump at one of my family reunions. You’ll see “grown men” act like warring baboons.

Why talk politics at a family reunion?? Blows my mind these days how everyone wants to know or talk about politics with everyone.

7 exclamation marks in one post?

Let’s dissect the excessive use of them…
“…it conveys that they’re speaking with a friend or even that the message-writer him/herself is a subordinate to the person receiving the message.”
“ For example, when a person uses “too many” exclamation points, they’re perceived as desperate.”
And speaking of sorority houses… “ the most notable finding was that women tended to use more exclamation marks than men (i.e., of all the exclamation marks used, women contributed 73% of them). ”
https://everydaypsych.com/5033-2/! Five exclamation marks, the sure sign of an insane mind. — Terry Pratchett Today’s opening question should reveal the impact and influence of today’s topic: Imagine you sent the following text to your friend: “Hey, would you be able to pick me up from the airport Sunday morning?” Subsequently, how would you interpret the following responses? …

You talking about people getting triggered is absolutely hilarious! Well, I mean I guess you know what you are talking about since your only two settings are sarcastic and triggered.

The only way Clemson slips is if Dabo continues to do things the exact same way he did 10 years ago.
1) A vision has a limited lifespan…it may be time to tweak the taglines. 2) Every organization benefits from change. I admire Dabo’s desire to mentor and build from within. But outside perspectives with a fresh way of looking at things is beneficial from time to time to reveal blind spots.

The whole country wants Dabo and Saban to slip

Because it’s the only way their teams have a chance. So of course they are going to pump the media with questions. The only way they slip is when people start buying into the narrative which appears plenty here are.
Can Dabo do things different, yes. Will he? More than likely. He likes winning and being on top and making money so why would he not change? There’s already reports of us calling players in the portal so I think that point needs to be over BTW.

We dont talk about this anymore.. but Clemson's recruiting power comes from getting kids on campus. 2.5 years ago... we couldnt that and probably filled a few positions with good players instead of great/elite players. I think some of what we are seeing is the effects of that. Now Dabo built his machine in the non-NIL, non-transfer portal, non-covid era. and it was beautiful. It is ashame that he got it there right before so much changed because it would have been a dynasty for the ages. No surprise it took a hit but I he will adjust and we will see what he comes up with.

Josh has his faults, but he gives us benefit of the doubt. Seems he would rather Dabo succeed than fall off the cliff. But, Dabo, if you fall, expect few ropes to catch you.

I do think Dabo will start using the portal in a limited amount, but the 3rd thing I got from this video and the scariest to me is the amount of resources some of our competitors will put into NIL money causing recruits to go elsewhere. I think our culture is strong and will attract many, but we may lose out on 2-3 or more recruits per year due to NIL. 2-3 per year can be the difference between being very good versus elite. We know the money gap is going to widen on the TV contracts too. So money is what will put us at the biggest disadvantage IMHO.

If we had continued to run the football directly at Jordan Burch, instead of a 3 and out by passing every down, we are in the Playoff.
