i can understand that maybe they arrived on a mission to show their spirit , but what they did was way beyond any spirit protocol...interrupting solemn moments, playing during our alma mater, ,over announcements, etc, is one thing that i could just overlook to typical gamecock stuff , but to disrupt the military hero of the game , a guy that survived a helicopter crash to singlehandedly save seven lives, ( although i may have some of the facts misplaced since i could not hear over the band ) , truly deserves a rebuke to the band director and his or her apologies to clemson and the marine ....they knew what they were doing , absolutely sickening

Did Clemson give them a schedule of events?

Perhaps at USuC the band plays during intermissions or between quarters, so this is a regular event. Unless Clemson gave them a schedule of events with clear directions of when to play, then I have no issues with their band trying to keep the team/fans engaged.
At FSU, their band played the entire game, and even post game when Clemson tried to play alma mater. Should we be upset then too?

Band directors communicate with each other. They have a walkie talkie that they use (or used to) "hey we're not playing this break, you go."
It's a matter of respect. USuC has none.

Always amazed at the level of crybaby on this board. You now need a safe space from the USuC band. It's shocking that a band traveled to Clemson whose job is to play music and keep their fans engaged, actually tried to do that.
I remember when our band used to play more. Now it's a ton of piped in music and announcements.
Thank God we win a ton of football games otherwise this place would be unbearable.

Those guys aren't usually like that, and I know some of the leadership well enough to where I'm very surprised. And disappointed.
