I don't believe being a Vet is as lucrative as many believe. Kind of like lawyers where a few do really well but many make much less than one would expect given the educational requirements.
Regardless a nice addition for Clemson.

IPTAY, tv revenue and other major gifts fund athletics not the state budget. Colleges and universities exist to educate young men and women not for sports.

Cool! Wish that was option when I was there. I would likely have done that instead of going to MUSC for environmental health. I leaned on going to UGA Vet school but needed a couple another animal phys and another organic chem class. The first organic chem class kicked my butt.

This is great news! I wanted to go to vet school and then join the army - couldn't fathom going to UGA though. There are more people than you probably think that have been waiting for this. I hope they offer large animal specialties.

Currently there is no budget deal and both chambers have passed continuing resolutions. The hang up is over the funding for the vet school, which is needed in our state no matter the school you support. We’ll see what happens. If you know a House member tell them to support the veterinarian school at Clemson.
