If the 2 players come back as JK says - what happens to the players Brad signed

Clearly, we will have too many players. Does Portal Brad simply revoke the players he just signed? That would not be good for his portal recruiting and image.
Does he revoke the incoming freshman?
Anyone know how the math and spots work out?
I know we don’t know if the ncaahas lost its mind on more years, but, it is something to consider if it does.
Who gets dumped?

Should be fine since it can be 15 starting in July..just hope decision comes this week because involved with some good guards if they can't come back...

Yeah it would be our deepest team. But I have to agree with the original post. Unless I'm missing something, the players Brad talked into coming was based on these two graduating. They didn't sign up to sit on the bench. And why would jz or scheff come back to play back-up minutes.

I think Davidson is an upgrade over Schieff. JZ would fill the starting backcourt role with Dillon Hunter.
Starting five would be D. Hunter, JZ, Wahlin, Davidson, and Welling.

Ian maybe yes for maybe Welling but the other guys were replacing Viktor, Chase and the guys transferring out.
There has been no replacement Zachary as the staff knew he was hopefully going to be able to come back...

Edit**** sorry i misread your post. It seems like it is still a long shot for every senior to be able to come back, right?
Also where did jk say that they would both come back?

I bet Brad and other coaches would like to know what the rules and limits are and this 5 year thing throws everything off at a crucial time. The way all sports have handled NIL and Portal is absolutely awful. Few if any rules and total lack of clarity going forward.

That's why if this 5 year thing is approved it is not going to go in effect until after next year. Too many decisions have been made to hurt those already transfered in or starting recruits out of HS.

think the reality is that it's a business decision. They will most likely transfer.Brad had no choice but move on as no one knew if that additional year would be granted.
Also, while teams may be able to carry 15 scholarship players, will they? Can they afford them - NIL? Most teams can't manage to play more than 8-10 at most so you might have 5-7 that are disgruntled and will leave. If they wait a season, you wasted that NIL $$$ and create a possible cancer. Most likely they won't wait so you are back to 12 anyway - who knows. It's definitely 180 from Dabo's approach but that's where college basketball is now and that's why Brad has been successful the past couple of years compared to the 10 before that. It's a pro game without pro rules.
