The Rock was damaged in 1992 by "rogue" gamecocks

Jun 28, 2013, 4:52 PM

"In the days leading up to that 1992 game at Death Valley, a few rogue Gamecocks fans broke into the stadium and attempted to steal Howard's Rock atop the Hill. They were not successful, but they left the exterior of the rock damaged." from Classic Clashes of the Carolina-Clemson Football Rivalry: A State of Disunion, by Larry Williams and Travis Haney

So, USCjr fans need to quit acting all self-righteous.

Rogue doesn't mean they didn't know what they were doing

Jun 28, 2013, 5:03 PM

A rogue is a criminal or a perp.

Rogue also means mischievous.....and I take offense at being wrongly accused of such an act. :)

Uh huh...now we know

The Rogue Gamecock is here!

HA!

I know it means mischievous as well--just preferred the other synonyms.

All of a sudden they're the "classier" fan base. If their fans tried it once they'd try it again, so the accusations weren't far off.

By the same logic we can expect another Clemson fan to try and take another portion of Howard's Rock as a souvenir.
