I know the dream is to get the first round bye in the playoffs next season, but just imagine how fun a playoff game would be in Death Valley next season. The quarterfinals are the first round of the playoffs, and the higher seed gets the home field advantage. Just thinking of hosting a playoff game in Clemson next season is already getting me hyped. Anyone else?

I think it will happen at some point.
I have a feeling that we’ll be playing on the road in a playoff game next year. Freshman will have to make plays after a great season.
Can you imagine how loud a place like Clemson, Michigan, Tennessee, LSU, etc. would be? Penn State, and more too.

It’s going to be a really cool experience to see college campuses hosting playoff games. I would make a road trip if Clemson were to play on the road.

I just hope we are in the 12. ACC champ is in but it probably will not be good for the loser of the ACCCG.

I think it’s gonna depend on who the losses are too. Think we could lose 2 (maybe even 3) games and still get into the top 12. Losing to Georgia wouldn’t be considered a “bad” loss as long as it’s respectable. That’s one game I really want to win though but it just feels like an uphill battle.

6 of the 12 teams will be from the SEC. That was the purpose of the whole thing. Just my opinion.

Amen, and I to believe that platform was decided only to get the top half of the SEC teams in the playoffs. That would end what happen this year with two teams in the Championship game with neither being from the SEC, and that is what they're banking on not to happen again!!!

If we can get by Georgia we would find ourselves a favorite for a first round bye.
The national champion.will almost certainly come from that group of four.
The only remaining obstacle logically would be FSU.
Of course anything is possible in college football and that's what makes it awesome.

I believe it has been set up to consist of mostly SEC and Big Ten teams but I hope I am wrong. The ESPN (SEC) conference and to a lesser extent, the FOX (Big Ten) conference clearly have some influence on everything college football, at least in my opinion.

The quarterfinals are the second round. But yes the first round is on 4 campuses.
I expect upsets as someone said above. The first round will probably have some evenly matched games, except for 12/5.

12 is too many. Though more football is awesome, home.games is cool. But ur gonna see opt out in the playoffs, too many more games if you're going pro. Bet.
