I would love to see us come out in orange overalls, just for one game. That would be special. But no stripes on them, that would be weird.

1000%. They need to tie in with the purple stripe on the helmets. Sharp look. Wouldn't even mind stripes around the shoulders.

trim on the jerseys too. Purple is too fine a color not to be using it. Look at some purple jerseys used in the mid 60’s, really cool with the shoulder stripes.

Is the lack of purple stripe on the pants to match helmet stripe, in my opinion.

Course there’s a lot of women (and men) who prob should never wear white pants.

Before I rant about this...

Let me just say I understand where you are coming from as far as visually pleasing. However, I will be the lone superstitious dissenter here. Dabo is a traditionalist and so am I. He took our look back to the 1981 National Championship team look, including our white pants with only orange stripes, making the orange pants mean something again, block lettering in the endzone, bigger paw, etc. He took us back to 1981 winning form too.
If I am not mistaken, Danny broke out the purple striped britches the year after the 1981 National Championship? We had some good years in the 80's in those pants. I recall them fondly. But we also endured probation, and then scandalous termination...and programmatic disarray. Kenny Hatfield and Tommy West teams continued to don those cursed purple striped britches. Hatfield even had the gall to put the boys out there in white britches with no stripes for a spell, like we were penn state or some such mess. Then along came another Tommy, a fine man but just a tad arrogant. He put purple stripes all over our white jerseys and pants. He made us wear purple jerseys that did not match orange hats and britches. Every color scheme Tommy could dream up he tried. I honestly believe the boys were sometimes confused about which color jersey to hit, because we changed our color scheme so often. It was no longer orange trimming purple, he put purple outside of the orange as the dominant striping on our white unis. And our highlight of this era was being mocked as a verb and winning a bowl on blue turf with our dominant purple stripes. But from the ashes, the good man named Tommy did put forth dat boy to take the reins. Dat boy returned us to 1981 color and the rest, as they say, is history.
I am somewhat superstitious and have no interest in changing one stripe on our 3 time national championship color scheme. NO SIR! Keep those filthy purple stripes off our championship uniforms!
