After that trouncing we got in game 1 is this:
Dabo and Co. realize it’s a long season and would never admit to believing we had no chance in game 1.
However, it’s a long season and Mafah needs to tote the rock a lot. I was surprised at how little we ran the ball in that game.
Maaaaybe the coaches were trying to preserve Mafah until the new upgrades at WR are ready and we will hopefully have the full offense ready to go in the post season. Not just the offensive players, but the game plan SHOULD look a lot different as the season goes on. It was 1000000% vanilla and showed nothing against uga.
It would make sense to hold back when you can win the rest of your games (hopefully) and get a rematch with the same team in the playoffs.
This is wild speculation, but I’m at a loss when it comes to our offense.

Clemson had a ton of missed opportunities. I rewatched the game last night and it looked a lot different than the game I watched on Saturday.

The positive is the offensive line and Antonio Williams looked pretty good. That’s it on offense. Mafah is slow as heck. Oline opened up some big holes and he was so slow to hit them they closed quickly

No one was killed, we didn't have to spend a lot on travel, and we picked up a nice check. Thant's all the positives I can think of.

😂 as much as the offensive line has been scapegoated the last few years they need to be credited when they play well. Their improvement was very noticeable and we still scored 3 because Tiger Nets Quarterback sucks

As good as Antonio is, he does not need to be the receiver on the single-side of the formation when we've got 2 highly touted freshmen that are 6'2" and 6'3"
The jump ball hasn't been part of this offense partly on the QB play but also partly on the fact that we got a 5'11" receiver in a position where normally you'd have your guy who can go up and make a play. You never saw guys like Amari or Artavis on the single side of the formation, why is Antonio out there?

I agree. If you see him lined up by himself, you can pretty much bet he’s running a slant or an in route.

Williams still could have looked up for the ball when Cade was under pressure at the goal line
