Doesn't matter who is playing who..but why does that type of advantage have to be given?? A champion of a conference has to play the same amount of games in the regular season as other teams in their conference....and if successful....they can become champs.

We giving too many types of advantages to others that has basically participated in the same type of thing as every team is having to do. So you're going to have conference champs...or highest seeded teams play less games to either become overall champion of whatever tournament or playoff......or ......you're going to have conference champs or highest seeded teams play less games to possibly lose ...ouch.

I know its normal and that it has been this way forever.....but I just feel...if a team for example..
..... have to play four games in a row to become champion...then so should the so called highest seed if they're trying to become champion. Its kind of on a slippery slope in the realm of entitlement for the highest seeded teams...rather than trying to call it an in tournament reward. The ultimate reward is at the end that is earned.... by going through the same designed obstacles as the others participating in the same type of tournament.

The people that benefit from $elling the TV right$ to the conference championship game$ did this.


Do you know how much money the individual conferences make on that one game?

Well the general idea is that if you played in a conf championship game you had a disadvantage playing in an extra game to the seeds that didn’t play. Like OSU when they lost to Mich, avoided the big 10 championship, and still got in the playoffs and basically got an extra week of rest compared to the teams who did play in their conf championships

shows a reward for going the extra distance there to be that, each had to win a bonus post-season game, plus the somewhat democratic idea here that perhaps media bias does play into perceived conference hierarchies and this helps level the playing field and address that.

It was my idea and I proposed it knowing it would upset you. I apologize as I had no idea it would be implemented. For the most part, there is a big difference between the top 2-3 then everyone else so I did not think anyone would notice.
