Great points Greg and appreciate you looking at it that way but Clemson will be in an uphill battle to beat Georgia especially being the first game of the season.

Seeing the title of this article and thread made me think of the song by Mike and the Mechanics, 'All I need is a Miracle'...

McElroy maybe on point with some of what he's said, but IMO, the main key for our Tigers to be competitive and successful against Georgia, our offensive line will have to show significant improvement, if it isn't there Cade will have the very same problems that he's had in everyone of his starts. He will be flushed from the pocket more times than not, and with that said he will be scrambling trying to make something happen that usually ends with incomplete passes, sacks, or loss of yards with a lucky completed pass once in a while.

Even for Mafah to have any success against a talented team like Georgia, an improved O L is a must have. IMO like I said at the beginning of this post, O Line, O Line, O Line improvement is the #1 key to any success our team may have throughout the entire season. Our team is talented enough everywhere else to have success against the weaker ACC teams that we will face, but the better than average ACC team we will struggle for any win that we get. Think whatever you want, say whatever you want, but our O Line is the key and it's just that simple.

McElroy keeps calling Dabo's name as if he plays the games, new alert, Dabo's main function for his team is that he calls all the shots as in he manages everything within the team, he never plays a down like these media heads thinks that he does. He helps out in practice but his main function is control, he hires and fires coaches, he has to approve every scholarship that is handed out, and he puts his input in with telling recruits why Clemson could be their best choice for their college FB career. And not once did McElroy mention the shambles that our O Line has been since 2020, and by his failure of mentioning that main point, it tells me that he don't have a clue of what the down turn of Dabo's teams has been mainly since 2020.

McElroy kept mentioning that Cade Klubnik was a 5 star recruit coming out of HS like being a 5 star recruit should mean wins for Cade. Well, being a 5 star recruit means that a lot of people felt that Cade was a very talented QB and he probably has a ton of talent, but it want matter how much talent that kid has if he doesn't have talent ahead of him blocking out the defense just long enough for him get the ball out to the talented receivers that we also have on our Clemson team. Give credit when credit is due, and last year was when Dabo knew he had made a mistake with his O L coaching hire, he has corrected about every mistake that he made with coaching hires over the past few years, but Rome was built in a day, and the superb hire he's made the couple of years can't fix everything that was wrong in just short off season. I believe our FB team will show needed improvements in their first season, but I don't expect this team to be back to where we were prior to 2020, but I believe we'll be better than we were in 2023....

I disagree bc he only said what was obvious to every FB fan that follows Clemson FB. IMO he was talking mostly to hear or read what he said!!!

We whipped them back in 1981 when they were ranked #4 and defending national champions, and Clemson was not ranked. 13-3 and shocked the world. Hershel Walker’s nightmare, with 9 turnovers. Our punishing defense won that game, but it was in Death Valley!

We can do it again in Atlanta! The biggest defeat in Atlanta since Sherman (LSU chancellor, ret.) marched through! The Tigers can do it, Georgia’s offense scored 3 on us in Charlotte…..

Go Tigers, Whoop JawJa!

I believe it's our advantage playing GA game 1. Usually it takes a few weeks to generate offensive momentum & continuity. I fully Defense will be the more polished aspect for both teams and we have the better D. I expect alot of quick throws trying to get the ball to players in space. That will certainly help open up the run but If we can complete a few vertical throws early we should be able to run at will. I wanna see alot of motion & misdirection. We can win this game & shock the nation. Go Tigers!!!

Clemson's defense. This is what you get when you pay any attention to people who make their livings with their mouths. Broadcaster and crack hoes.

Rather objective take on the Offense and Cade which is refreshing. I also agree with ClemsonTiger1988® that the defense has a major role in this showdown. It's going to be good. BYOG.

Having Matt Luke on our side will help a lot with game planning. I’d like to think that He knows Kirby’s tendencies, he knows at least somewhat what plagues him when he coaches against it. This could be a bit of a difference maker that nobody is discussing.

Just praying we make a game out of it for our future recruits…. We get blown out and it might set us back to the days before Dabo put us with the elites!!! I just thank him for those special days….

I think it's obvious Ga. Will sell out against our run game. The key is our OL giving Cade some time in the pocket and then it's up to Cade to get the job done.
