The most delightful thing about the OC announcement.

Dec 2, 2014, 4:30 PM

Dabo has considered what he'd do about chad leaving for a couple of years and we're stunned that we don't understand the logic.

When Chad came our offense 'magically,' turned around but the players were already here even during his first season. He had no name with which to recruit for a couple of years. Chad gets all the credit?

Brent shows up and we've got the best defense in the nation three years later but he wasn't here when those guys signed with Clemson. Brent gets all the credit?

"Dabo is just a CEO type coach, he knows nothing about 'X's and 'O's!"

What's the man gonna have to do to win some of you over, fire everybody and run the whole gatdam thing by himself?

My guess is he knows far more about X's and O's than the Nimrods on here.

Couldn't agree more

Let Dabo make his decision and lets support him. I hate when people think they know more than Dabo when they do nothing but watch the games on TV and read the internet. I remember when people were calling for Dabo's head when he hired Chad Morris, saying he was just one year removed from highschool and doesn't know how to run a big time D1 college offense. How did that move turn out? I remember when people were calling for Dabo's head when he hired BV, saying Oklahoma was about to fire him and he wasnt a good DC. Dabo is around this team everyday, he knows what the best decision is. I will support whatever decision he makes

the difference between different defensive schemes so all of a sudden I think I know more about who my team needs than the guy that put it where it is.'

Kinda makes me sound intelligent, doesn't it?

It's the same crowd that would b*tch and moan that Dabo doesn't understand the rivalry because he went to Bama. Now he gives a couple Clemson men a great opportunity and more moaning. Go figure!!!

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

It's pretty obvious that some of the guys here really need..

Dec 2, 2014, 9:29 PM

to get laid.

I don't b!tch and moan, but I am married...

Do I count?

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I never thought of it in the way you described

Dec 2, 2014, 9:40 PM

and you are absolutely correct. I will just trust Dabo's judgment. He is extremely shrewd in the best of ways. He has set up Clemson with a very realistic shot at a NCG within a couple of years. He has also set himself up nicely to take over for Saban in 4-5 years, I honestly believe, at which point we should be able to rely on D Rad to make the correct choice for a successor.

flag link military_tech thumb_downthumb_up

I agree! We should have stuck with Napier and Steele.

Dec 2, 2014, 9:53 PM

The coaching was never a problem. Just needed to wait on the players to show up.

At least Steele did have some talent. Napier's cupboard wasn't bare either.

We don't need coaches, just recruiters.***

No, but talent and character sure makes it a lot easier....***
