On the ACC, but I've come to realize it's not anger, it's embarrasment......
Embarrasment for Clemson to be in this #### show of a conference, with no exit in sight. I've never understood Clemsons loyalty to the clown show that is the ACC. imo the lawsuit came about 20 years too late. One of my biggest fears is that the powers that be will accept some settlement that will keep us in the ACC....

The loyalty is that Clemson was a founding member. Also, when conference

shuffling went into full effect, Clemson wasn't great at football and was going through an almost 20 year down period on the national scene. Also, Clemson had nowhere to go…we were never seriously persued by another conference.
All that leads to some saying we have misplaced loyalty. The reality is that Clemson had a conference that works for all sports for us, and one that we won 3 national titles from in Football, 2 of them very recently. And it's a conference that Clemson has made more playoffs from other than a team named Alabama.

I think that maybe that's a fear with over 51% of Tiger nation that we get stuck in the ACC. But there are two things that would have to happen for Clemson to be free of the ACC with one of those two things stronger than the other.
First thing would be that the money discrepancy between the ACC and the SEC/Big becomes to great for the ACC to keep up and lose its TV contract with ESECPN and that cause the ACC to go bankrupt and collapse...
The second thing that has a better chance of happening I think, would be if the SEC and the Big form two 20+ team super conferences and pull away from the NCAA and form another system to govern the two super conferences. If that was to happen, I believe that Clemson would be invited to join one of the two super conferences.
The second thing I think would have the best chance of happening, and if it did actually happen, I believe that would be the best chance for Clemson to leave the ACC...
We just need an invite from the SEC or Big and I believe that Clemson would jump on that wagon even if none of the above happened...

formulate and regulate rules for player payment and movement then there is every reason to believe that in order to 'break away', politics will be involved. It may be messy, and it may not end up perfect, but our Congressmen and women and Senators will have every incentive to protect Clemson's interests.
That said every state has similar so who knows for sure how it'd shake out. Which probably leaves the status quo.
