Tackle before he even got out of his stance and absolutely de-cleated the cuse QB to basically end the game. I've never heard it louder.

I liked it when Louisville committed two false starts before they even got to run a play in 2016

Miami game (that we ultimately lost in OT) will never be matched in terms of noise.

Agreed. Wasn't the steel going up on the West End zone then.It wasn't even complete yet. Too bad Clemson and Miami didn't play in the 80's when both were in their heyday.

There was a game a decade or maybe longer ago that the crew brought a decibel reader to the game and they kept checking it because we were breaking the record for loudest game. Maybe FSU.
Great publicity for Clemson and Death Valley Bring that gadget eith you again crew
We want another shot at that record

Our season opener vs LSU would be the perfect game to bring the decibel reader back.

I’m fortunate and blessed enough to say I was in attendance for every one of those clips in the video.
However, the loudest I have personally ever heard Death Valley was 2011 vs Florida state. I was a freshman at Clemson. The week prior we ended auburn’s 17 game win streak. FSU was top 10 but starting their back up QB. Rennie Moore sacked Clint Trickett to seal the game. The noise was actually deafening after that play. The student section was jumping and celebrating so hard that a few of the bleachers actually popped out of their socket and kids were passing the seats around in the stands

Not FSU as I thought. BC
Clemson's Memorial Stadium, known as "Death Valley," recorded a decibel level of 133 decibels in 2007 during a game against Boston College, which was the loudest in college football at that time. While this was a significant achievement, the overall college football decibel record has since been broken by other stadiums, with Tennessee's Neyland Stadium setting a new record at 137 decibels in 2023.

The loudest for the longest…Miami OT game.
Loudest for a short time, “The Catch 2.0”
FSU “We Will Rock You” game is right up there.
Watson to Renfrow in Tampa was pretty wild, too.

Three that come to mind were the game against Maryland we lost in 85, against Georgia in 87 when I think we trapped James Jackson for a safety and of course the puntrooski game.

Clemson vs Miami 2005. Loudest game I was ever at by a long shot. Tigers lost in OT unfortunately, but game was a classic.

I wasn't at the Miami game in '05 but it looked crazy loud on tv. 2009 FSU "we will rock you" game might/might not have been the loudest but was one of the most fun ever.
But, what hooked me on Clemson fb as a yunkster was 1987 vs Duke, with a less than full crowd, the Duke qb backed out several times bc he couldn't hear (there was a rule that allowed that then, a dumb one that was changed pretty quickly) which of course spurred the crowd on to be louder. My first game I attended.
