Gymnastic scores. I didn't know either until looking it up during the meet tonight. But we have a new sport now so it's time for us to learn

Each round has 6 ladies competing for scoring. The scores are on a 10 point scale. You take the top 5 of the six and add them up to get the score for the round. The rounds are added up for the final score.

We led the whole way beginning when one of our seniors led off with a high score on the vault. Our girls did great as individuals and as a team - and looked and conducted themselves like true Tigers!

Coach Smith has said that she wanted to be the first coach to win a National Championship a school that never won one.I don't know if she meant winning the first National Championship in women's athletics Clemson as a whole or just being the first to win one in Gymnastics,love her energy and enthusiasm either way though

But in all seriousness, glad the Tigers started with a win and looked good. And glad the fans turned out big. As others have said, this sport should be a great addition and I’m excited we’ve got it here now. I think they could easily follow the lacrosse/softball trend of getting very good straight from the get go. But that’s a very high bar, so I don’t want to have unreasonable expectations either. We will see. But regardless, I think this team will end up being very good, and I will continue showing up to cheer and wishing the best for them.
