It would be great to see Kagle and Thompson toss a few strikes behind their backs!

I saw him against a local allstar team in the late 60's.

Saw them play in Columbia about 1972-74. What I remember most was when the pitcher went into his windup and threw but never let go of the ball. The catcher hit his mitt with his fist, and the umpire yelled “strike.” The batter started raising hell with the ump, saying it was outside.

They were something to see.

Thanks for posting this. I saw The King and His Court several times on TV but never in person. I have always wondered if he was a natural oddity with special abilities or just a very good athlete with extraordinary training and development. Either way he was amazing. Some asked him why he had four players on his team and he replied that he needed someone to bat in case the bases were loaded.

As a kid, I saw him in person. There were 2 things that I really remember...
1. There was some guy on his team that hit multiple HRs over the high school BASEBALL fence.
2. One inning the stars of the home team were coming to bat. The King had his fielders leave the field. He said that he didn't need them...He struck out the side.

Saw him play in North Augusta in the late 70s early 80s. They played the Class A Major Slow pitch state champs and made them look silly. Only hit of the game was a slow pitch to the 6’ 9” first baseman who was a former MLB player. It went about 350 ft. for a hr. Eddie asked who was the best player on the team and told him the pitch was coming just to give them something to cheer about. Unbelievable display of talent the King and His Court showed.

In the late 60s and early 70s, several of the local businesses sponsored teams in a men's fast pitch softball league in Seneca. I remember seeing him play against the locals and there were some good players that didn't have a chance against Eddie Feigner's pitching.

I found this trivia.

On February 18, 1967, Feigner appeared in a celebrity charity softball game against many Major League Baseball players. In the game Feigner struck out Willie Mays, Willie McCovey, Brooks Robinson, Roberto Clemente, Maury Wills, and Harmon Killebrew all in a row.

When I saw them, they played against a local team of very good players. The King only had a catcher and one outfielder. He would pitch some from 2nd base as I recall.
