Any way Cole Stoudt plays

I'm not a Tajh basher; I think he has been a huge asset for us. But after reading about and watching how bad the Ohio State secondary is, I can't help but think that we need to put the person in who can get the ball to Sammy, Martavis, etc. most accurately. We all know that Tajh has had trouble with his throwing accuracy in big games. So will Dabo/Chad be willing to put Stoudt in if Tajh's accuracy is off or is this Tajh's game to lose?

started on the 2014 season 2. I'd like to show OSU lots of different looks 3. I think Cole might be a more accurate passer.
But I would have liked to have seen Cole play more all year long. And sadly, that has not happened. But I can also say that I don't think that cost us our two losses.

Stoudt can be good for us. But you have nothing to base...

that Stoudt is more accurate, when his only meaningful game play came against a below average BC team in 2011, when Tajh got injured in the 2nd half. Stoudt can have a great year next year, and will have great chance to easily beat the coots, but he will not be as good as Tajh.

musical chair QB's, when your starter is the best QB in the history of the program and has set all kinds of school and ACC records.

Dabo is not going to play Cole, unless Tajh is hurt. No other way. It will not be a blowout so that is a moot point.

The issue in big games isn't with Tajh

It's with the offensive line not getting the pass protection we need and with our playcallers not calling shorter, quicker passes. When you try to do too much downfield stuff against veteran defensive lines like FSU and SC, you're gonna get pressured early and often. No matter who the QB is, that much pressure is eventually going to wear on you.
I think the best thing we can do is try to get a short passing game and some sort of a running game going. When they finally decide to bring a house blitz, lob it up to Sammy/Martavis one-on-one and let them take care of the rest.

Wrong. The O-line played really well against SCU. Tajh rolled out way too early and way too often, gave Doo Doo a sack on a silver platter, and looked like a deer in headlights the entire game.
That said, I do believe that Tajh gives us the best chance of winning the OB.

While the O-line definitely looked they were improved in that game, Tajh still got pressured more than he should have.
And even if they didn't pressure Tajh as much, you still have to consider the fact that too many downfield passes were called. SC has played us for the past 3 years and they know how to stop our offense: stop the big plays. Thus, you know they were getting their DBs into deep zones, meaning downfield passes just aren't going to work anymore. When the players are that covered up, no matter how well the O-line is playing (which, again, was better than usual), the pressure will still get there. That's what's called a "coverage sack."
By calling shorter passes, we could cause them to shift their defensive gameplan. We did this against LSU. If I recall, no pass in that game went for more than about 20-25 yards (not counting runs after the catch).

I agree with you about the play calling. But the pressure didn't come as a result of poor offensive line play.

Wrong, Tajh played good, it was the turnovers that killed us

and he didn't look like a deer in head lights. Nice job in buying into coot rubbish. Yeah he turned the ball over 3 times, but the fumble was a good play by SCU's defense, and the two int's at the end of the game were just desperation passes trying score points with limited time left in the game. Sorry, but Tajh didn't call the WR pass on the first drive, when the offense was moving the ball easily without trick plays. Tajh didn't run into Adam Humphries on the punt return. Tajh didn't cause Adam Humphries to be careless with the ball on the 2nd punt return turnover. Tajh didn't fail to account for Connor Shaw on those 3rd and long running conversions for first downs.

Did you see him on the sidelines? He absolutely looked like a deer in headlights. On every pass, he dropped back about 8 or 9 yards, and one time ran straight into Doo Doo's arms. If you think Tajh played to his normal ability then I have to question how often you've seen him play.

OSU's defense is going to get pressure, their D-line is pretty good. Their secondary might be suspect, but that won't matter if we don't have time to throw the pass in the first place.
And yes, the turnovers were the reason we lost. Even still, you gotta acknowledge the fact that if we had changed our playcalling a bit, we might have been able to avoid some of those turnovers in the first place.
