The hard count "fake snap" was a brilliant call. Worse case

scenario you punt. Just sucks that we let Connor Shaw get close enough to put them in that position.

Of course, we could have fumbled that punt, but it was still the play that changed the game.

Yeah that was coaching ... they called timeout right before

If they get caught, just take the penalty and punt. Ball Sac got us on that one.

He didn't get us though. He got the refs. We are taught to

move when the ball moves or if a lineman moves.

Both the ball was flinched and the center flinched.

not on a play like that you aren't. You are taught to ABSOLUTELY not jump no matter how much they bait you. And no, the ball didn't move, lol. The center slightly flinched his helmet, but it seemed to be the barking more than the head flinching that caused them to jump.

There's way too much to lose there by jumping offsides, where a penalty on USC does absolutely nothing negative to them. You just CANNOT jump offisdes there and put that call in the refs hands. They miss tiny movement way too much to let that draw you offsides in 4th and short.

during the time out , the coaches reminded the defense not to jump offside or get caught up in count and cadence, and to keep their eye on the ball, ...and he said , dang , if we didn't do it anyway...

Didn't we get a penalty called on Dalton freeman for flinching on a similar play against FSU last year?

We lost to Auburn in OT for a far, far less obvious snap

infraction.

That was a brilliant call by Spurrier, but I don't see how the heck the officials didn't see that. It couldn't have been more obvious in real time. That was a total blown call. I think the game was tied at that point, and that missed call could have very well led to a different outcome in that game. I felt like that was the moment where the game really turned to their favor.
