Where are our college football executive orders?

We’ve had rapid fire EO after EO that don’t really impact the lives of the average American; see “gulf of America”, Mt McKinley. When is Trump gonna do something about NIL and the Tranfer portal? I know people will say he has more important things to worry about, but clearly he doesn’t. If Trump can fix the current pay for play CF I’ll give him some credit.

Thankfully the Trump Administration rescinded this last minute Biden turd in the NIL punch bowl which was going to totally upend the current NIL settlement court proceedings.

looking for rules around payments to players from boosters and consistency from state to state conference to conference. The ED ruling was meant to govern the payments Schools make to players out of their own revenues it didn’t do anything to help with what the collectives are doing.

The current court settlement (if given final approval) fixes most of the NIL

issues that have turned college football in to a pay for play free-for-all. As it stands in the court settlement - all NIL payments over $600 will have to go through a third party clearing house that ensures the payments are within fair market value standards. That means the NIL collectives can't just give players thousands of dollars without there being some real tangible market forces behind it.

The Biden guidance was as meaningless as #### on a boar hog

Big Title IX overreach that wouldn’t have held up in court.

Agree... the Biden Admin categorized NIL payments as "Financial Aid" which is

utterly ridiculous. The courts would have surely thrown out the NIL = Financial Aid characterization.

Thankfully, the Trump Admin rescinded this idiocy so that the lawyers and courts didn't have to waste a lot of time litigating this throwing the current state of NIL/payments into limbo while it got sorted out.

Hopefully the House Court Settlement will get final approval in the coming months to bring some much needed order and guard rails to the current chaos. If the settlement can keep the "pay for play" portion of compensation to within the the College's $22 million revenue sharing while forcing NIL deals over $600 to be true market value based - it will bring some leveling of the playing field back to college sports.

I have no idea how to fix that mess. I know the current state of college athletics has turned many people away from it. I am certainly one.

i like players getting paid

maybe do an EO removing the restrictions on eligibility, increase the number of available players, increases competition, increases talent, improves the game at a lower cost per player
