They had momentum and playing #1 at home. Why not?

going to overtime. Those can easily turn into FG kicking contests and that's not something I want to be in.

Agree. I think he did us a favor. But we’re i in his shoes I also would have gone for 2. Our defense was gassed.

The crazy thing about that play is that UNC

actually had the ball literally bouncing the right way at the end just like it seemed to have done all game. The way that ball bounced into the hands of another UNC player...it took the full 60 minutes for Clemson to fight against its own struggles, UNC's grit, and general "luck" that fell into UNC's lap all game.
Had Clemson not played with their own grit during that 2-point conversion, that guy likely would have scored.
Only because we won, I think this game will do us a lot of good from this point on. Lots to learn from it.

Did any of you, besides me, wonder why the Tarheels didn't throw that little delayed slant that they completed all afternoon on 3rd and short? I'm just glad they didn't myself !!!

Yes. It was the right call to go for 2, but the wrong play call thank goodness. Maybe he thought we would be expecting the slant.

I would hate to think Dabo would of not made the same call. Momentum is big. They were never ready for that moment in their season. Growing pains. Tigers would of called a play that scored.

I thought it was stupid as he ll, they had our D guessing and getting tired. We have a young team that’s not use to playing tight games . I would have kicked the PAT. More than likely with over a minute and 2 TO We at least get into FG range

Should’ve had a play in to at least make us call a TO...or keep us on our ‘heels’ But it was the right call.
