To me i think Clemson went to FSU thinking they would blow FSU out of their stadium , but Martin showed the Tigers that he is not dead yet . From that weekend on Clemson has been very good ever since. I think would Monty will , or should be fired , How quickly can a team so happy about getting Monty , has fallen so far .
Go Tigers , i still love my tigers .

How can bb players and teams go in ‘slumps’? This seems to be a disturbing trend - not just losing to Gardner Webb and PC - but last year didn’t CU start the season gangbusters last only to finish with whimper?

Something doesn't smell right. Teams do not go from being pretty good, not great, to being really bad for no reason almost overnight. Same players, same coach, weaker schedule. Something on the inside is not right.

There was a poster not long ago that suggested the same thing. I recall it was something that hackenburg said or implied to someone’s dad etc but who knows unless you’re on the team or very close to it.

Many others I talk to say the same thing. Nobody I've talked to seems to what the problem may be however.

This isnt a slump any longer? Its a virus in the computer and the LEE-Ware isnt cleaning the malware! Something corrupted the hard drive stopping it from doing a Factory Reset! Monty doesn't have his first round slugger to bail him out! I knew that long ball game was going to bite the bullet!
Once pitchers learned our guys chase trash balls, they learned to send scatter balls because our guys would hope for hail Marys. Not sure even what game / batting philosophy is for this team but small ball isnt it. Batting coach is terrible, whoever that is?
Lee better regroup, needs to wipe that Coot stink off again and reboot! I like Lee, want him to succeed and turn it around!

Whatever has happened, be it loss of confidence or internal issues, has unraveled this team. I expect this weekend in Raliegh to be the nails in the coffin for the season & hope next year will be better.

After getting swept by FSU, then losing the marathon game to UGA a few days later, I commented to a coworker that it had been the kind of week that can kill a season unless something really good happens quick. Unfortunately it looks like I might have been right.
