I just got a call back from a salesman that I sent a request to in September or October.
He said "Prices might not get this low again"
If him calling me almost 4 months after I tried to get in touch with him is any sign....I think prices are going to be a lower than they are right now.

no power, still had a carb plus miles of emission stuff under the hood. Friend of mine owned it since new. Had a matching shell on it. When I sold it, the shell wasn't on it but I said it was included. The guy didn't want it, but I had it on it when he came to pick it up.

The two dealers I talk to the most said the attendance was noticeably down and they both sold about half as many boats as last year. I figure it will take manufacturers an entire 2023 of taking it up the rear before they consider the idea of lowering prices.

I've got my eye on a couple that have been sitting 6+ months. Of course, I haven't had any bites on my boat either so it's a conundrum.
I personally think the wad is shot regarding new boats, the higher end $250k+ stuff might not be impacted too much...but I think a lot of the lower/mid tier stuff will tank in value. IE, the market for $150k Sea Fox's is probably going to dwindle significantly.

Pontoons in particular seem to tank in value, similar to a BMW or something. I don't really believe there are that many people who can take a $50k bath on a couple of year old boat and be OK. But maybe there are?
I've seen some late model Supra's with an asking price under $100k, I don't know exactly what they went for new but I know it was well north of that. Maybe the sell off we've all anticipated is coming?

I watch a lot of youtube and this guy who reviews cars was revieing a 2024 GMC 3500HD. By the end of that video, had had me going "I dunno? Maybe a $87K truck isn't that much? It is a nice looking truck". In another review he was driving a Jeep Rubicon 392. It was $110k. And was comparing it to HIS Jeep Rubicon 392.
I have no idea what youtubers make, but he bought a TRX AND a Jeep 392 last year. I need to get into the youtube business.
