Most of us check in a few times a day at least here.
Sometimes we disagree, sometimes things get heated or we say things we shouldn’t.
We get after opposing fans and trolls.
We use this place to disconnect, to not have to be quite as serious or guarded about what we say or what our beliefs/values are.
But then you see something like soywaker®‘s incident, and you watch us all transcend all of that and come together. It’s an amazing thing to witness.

Completely heartbreaking the way it went

from his post Tuesday afternoon talking about his excitement over his impending trip to DV and at the same time warning people about inscrupulous ticket sales tactics, to yesterday morning's post a mere 18 hours later, to this morning's update, pouring out his heart. It had to be very tough to share that intimately personal information with a bunch of complete strangers, whose only tie to him is our love for Clemson University and its people - leadership, faculty, staff, players, fans, etc.
It will be a long and difficult recovery for Soywaker's family, but I am sure that the support of #clemsonfamily has put them on the right path. I pray that the Tigers give him and his daughter the huge win they were planning to come witness.
And I pray that Soywaker will not hesitate to lean on the #clemsonfamily as much as he needs to through the healing process, and that he realizes that he owes us nothing in terms of further updates, etc.
Soywaker, know that we are here when you need us. Continued prayers for you and your family.

Well said. Most powerfully moving post I think I’ve ever seen. Football unites indeed. Hopefully someone can connect Dabo with this family to send some encouragement. Dabo has a history of that kind of compassion. Anyone got that kind of connection?

More importantly, as we all know, that's God's family right there folks. There was a thread about this on FGF with a lot of good people praying. It can be a beautiful world; that's the way God intended it.
