Hard for Jimbo to miss for the first few years until time catches up with him. He is sleeze and will recruit sleeze to win. That along with now all the oil money (reportedly $30 million this year) buying the #1 recruiting class will get him into the playoffs for awhile. Then the U will realize like FL State they sold their soul to the devil for some victories and after conflict he will move on to the next U that wants to sell their soul out for a few wins

You will see a lot of portal guys in the next year from A&M, UGA, and Bama. Too many recruits and many will be bench warmers.

But without team chemistry A&M just wasted a bunch of ??????????! I predict the million dollar class leaves A&M without a NC.

You just nailed it. A bunch of self focussed, look how great I am kids will be tough to corral into a championship team. I would not be betting on Jimbo bringing home the bacon quite yet. Saban is the master of doing that but few else can. IMO. Kirby lucked up this year.

I don't see how they can duplicate that same NIL every year. It doesn't seem self sustaining.

The biggest question is, will the NCAA during the offseason step up, and put some kind of guidance into the portal, and how the NIL$$$ is to be handled, and add a sharing clause among all the D-1 power 5 schools that will have the advantages of NIL mega cash flow. If they don't, I feel that we start to see FB programs start to fold up, and cash out bc FB programs such as Clemson in very small college community just won't be able to keep up with the NIL money that the schools in biggest cities will be able to give out to players. They will draw all the best players in college FB that will be piling up at those schools, and the teams that are in the smaller cities that has had a history of being able to compete with any school in small or large cities, all of a sudden the entire deck is stacked against you, why even try to compete in something to where your chances of winning the big prize will forever be non existent in any year!!!!

Football revenue essentially funds ALL of the other athletic programs at the Power 5 universities.
As the NIL filters and selects the top players into 7-10 football programs, the rest of the teams that cannot compete with NIL dollars, become effectively scrimmage teams for the 7-10 NIL-taker teams.
Fans begin to see the futility of the UNEVEN competition and attendance declines (maybe the fans will keep coming to see the JV teams play among themselves). Revenue declines. Athletic budgets decline.
Other athletic programs are CUT for lack of funding.
The 7-10 NIL-takers form a separate league with some revenue-sharing incentives to another group of selected universities to form a 32 team semi-pro league.
Will take about 10 years to materialize.

His contract is a millstone. He's guaranteed $90 million! They can't fire him anytime soon.
I think he will have good success the next 2-3 years and may even win the SEC and a natty. But eventually his act will wear thin and Aggieland football will crumble similar to FSU. He won't last 10 years, the breakup will be nasty and there will be a lot of sludge to clean up afterwards by the next coach or two.

Jimbo might get fired but the dollars won't stop. Unless the NCAA, under pressure from Saban and Kirby, stops TAMU from buying recruiting classes they will continue to do it. They will continue to bring in top recruiting classes like Kirby did, until Jimbo or the next coach down the line wins them a championship.

Nothing will happen. You don’t understand Aggie football or their fanatic fans. It doesn’t matter who is coaching the team. Players in Texas go to Texas , Texas A&M and Oklahoma primarily. Clemson was lucky to get the Westlake QB.

Maybe the best thing to happen to college football is for A&M to win it all once or twice in the next couple years. It will so infuriate Saban that he will force the NCAA to regulate NIL. Seems that only Saban has that power.

The NCAA needs to audit the Jimbo Fisher Texas A&M recruiting situation as a part of their investigation into this whole NIL and transfer issues, then take appropriate action to tone it way down with new rulings. This is very bad for all players and coaches alike and just complicates their whole lives and ongoing programs. The NCAA was wrong in permitting all of these changes without making a more intensive review before permitting these options to be taken without much more restrictive requirements put in place to restrict their usage.
