I think this was worse than West Virginia, and I was at that game. West Virginia were a very good team that won the Big East and had a great college QB in Geno Smith. We knew our defense was very questionable that year, and they got exposed by that great QB.
Last night, we were blown out at home, in a night game, on national television, by a 5-3 Louisville. And we did it after a bye week while they had a nail biter against Boston College. We were down 26-7 until they started subbing in backups in garbage time. And Louisville had a defense that has been carved up by 4 teams this year. And we lost like that in front of the recruits we desperately need because our recruiting has been dog ####. I predicted this loss a month ago while everyone was crowing about beating UGA in a rematch, but I didn't expect the loss to be the way it was.
I also don't think Bowden had that many embarrassing losses. We sucked back then. We knew we sucked back then. Everyone knew we sucked. So getting blown out 30-0 to UGA back then sucked, but wasn't embarrassing. This is in my most embarrassing losses in my lifetime alongside: 2008 Alabama, 2010 SC, 2011 NC State, 2013 Florida State, 2014 Georgia Tech, and 2022 South Carolina.

I mean we lost to Carolina five years in a row and got blown out in bowl games against Tennessee and West Virginia.

I remember that. Second most obnoxious fan base I remember (TCU in 2009 made me angrier than any other team. Not even NC State or South Carolina boo and jeer during our alma mater).

This is much worse than the Duke game last year. During the Duke game we were competitive and made critical mistakes in the red zone. IMO we were the better team in the Duke game, we just beat ourselves.
Last night we were not competitive! We had so much on the line and we looked so unprepared and had no urgency.
I am 46 and this one ranks near the top on my list as bad beats, as the stakes were high and I thought we were making a legitimate move back to a playoff contender.
