How good is Carson Beck?

Will he be an upgrade compared to Cam Ward?
I think UGA was a much deeper well balanced offense compared to Miami, so I’m interested to see how Beck does when Miami needs him to win a game all by himself
Obviously Clemson and Miami both need to find a defense or it won’t matter how many points are scored

I think he's decent but obviously needs talent around him to excel.

He doesn't appear to be the type of quarterback who elevates the other guys around him and makes them better; rather, he depends on the other guys being great.
I don't think he'll be better than Cam Ward. There were a couple throws by Ward this year that were as good as any pro could make, and after about 3 or 4 games this year, Ward looked capable of winning games for the Canes that they otherwise had no business winning. Pulling wins out of thin air in some cases.
On the other hand, I can't think of a single game this year where I thought, "Man, Beck really saved the day for Georgia."

how significant of one we will see
if they can't stop anyone like this year on defense they will be in trouble
they also lost their renfrow
he doesn't have the escape ability or talent of ward

He's not the type of guy who's gonna come out and take a game over, but he's a quality QB that doesn't make mistakes. He's very good at reading the field and taking what the defense gives him.

Let’s not kid ourselves
Miami can bring in athletes that are just as good as Georgia’s players. So there could be something there.
What ultimately fails for Miami is their coaching decisions.
Carson Beck is a definite upgrade from Cam Ward.
Cam Ward shows complete lack of respect for effort. He plays very lazily.
Carson Beck is a dog, and has a full career winning under Kirby Smart’s leadership. He will grind every down.

Threw a good amount of interceptions this year, but he also had little run game to support him, a disappointing offensive line and his receivers led the country in drops. He can put up a 4,000 yard season at Miami

He is as good as the pieces around him. I honestly don’t think he will thrive at Miami like Ward. He seemed to be rattled a lot easier than Ward. I could be wrong. Ward seemed very even. Beck appears to get frustrated and with their defense he better put up some crazy numbers

I believe he will a downgrade in comparison to Cam Ward. If that weren't the case, I don't think we would even be discussing Beck going to Miami.

He is so good that his draft grade evidently came back bad. Remember Tua went to the draft with a blown hip. I expect Beck to be a downgrade from Ward.
