Let's keep this electric train rolling with another idea

I'm planning on putting a 50 amp generator plug on the addition.
Here's what I have: Main meter panel outside with a 100 amp breaker running the main sub panel inside the house.
In that interior panel I have a 50 amp fuse with 5-3 romex running to a sub panel in the addition where I'm going to run my new circuits from.
So if I put a 50 amp plug in on the outside of the addition, run 6-3 to a breaker in the new sub panel I can back feed the juice and power both interior panels.
As long as I turn off the 100 amp breaker in the exterior panel, nobody will die.
Right?
I may need McLovin to draw a diagram

generator fuse that has a bracket that kills the main when activated to prevent feedback on the lines. That's code, law, etc. not to mention a safety hazard if you don't.
But I'm sure you know that. Would suck to kill the lineman trying to restore your power.

Then just ignore fixing it, because from their perspective, that line has power on it.

If I were a lineman, I'd test every "dead" line before fixing anything.
If it was live, I'd track it to the house, cut their line, fix all the rest, and just leave.

And they prob have to be nice and track it down and go to the house and ask the owner to knock it off.
But they should ignore them, and let them keep running their 150 decibel briggs and stratton 12 HP generator 15 hours a day so they can have a fan and a light in the back room.

can't activate the feed from your generator to the panel with the switch, without shutting the main. There are several different types, but the fuse for the generator literally physically connects to the main so flip the generator switch to activate, main is shut.
Look it up. PLEASE. It's done this way so when you're 4 bourbons into the superbowl and the lights go off, you don't FORGET to cut the main.
