Which conference would you want for Clemson?

I really think we would thrive in the Big XII. Others want SEC for obvious reasons. Some want to stay in the ACC. What say ye?

I used to want SEC, but with the ACC confirmed as power

five conference, I am happy being a big fish with FSU, Va.Tech, Ga. Tech, Miami, Louisville in the ACC. We will be contenders for conference titles, playoff spots, and Orange Bowl positions. South Carolina will rarely be in contention for the SEC playoff spot, or New Years Six bowl.
Also, for a conference that people seem to think teams should want to leave, there are a lot of conferences wanting our teams because the are major players.
Big Ten would like to have Virginia and/or North Carolina. SEC would love to have Virginia Tech, North Carolina, NC State or Virginia, maybe even Duke as another Vandy.
The Big Twelve would love to have Clemson, Florida State and Louisville.
Everyone wants Notre Dame.

ACC or SEC. I get the whole argument about money, but I would rather play teams that we are close to. I want to be able to go play North Carolina or NC State, and if we can't I'd like to play Tennessee or Georgia. Schools that are drivable distances. I would have almost no interest in an "in conference" game between Clemson and Texas Tech. That sounds terrible.

I like us where we are.
*We can win the National Championship from where we are in the ACC. *We play a good schedule of conference rivals most of whom regard us as one of their 2-3 biggest games every year. *Most of our rivals are convenient for Clemson fans and offer us great road trips. *I like it that our collegiate sports conference is full of excellent academic schools.
I am glad we are not in the SEC where we would be an after thought and a so what game to every team. I am glad we are not in the Big 12, which might collapse and which is full of schools in no-account locations no sensible person would want to visit. I am glad we are not in the Big 10 because of the exclusively northern orientation of that league.

What makes you think we'd be an after thought in the SEC?
Rivalries with Scar and UGA and we would compete for the SEC East title more years than not.

Powehouses like Cal Poly, UC Davis, UC Irvine, UCSB, Fullerton, Northridge, UC Riverside, Long Beach, and Hawaii. This would be the best football conference and this move would ensure success for many decades to come.

You could swap UNC or NC State but it ain't worth arguing about. Neither give a #### about football and they both could bring their traveling fans in two sixteen passenger vans.
About the only bonus with NCSU is you don't have to deal with the fraudulent academics.

Unquestionably the ACC. We can have everything

we want here. At the same time, we are associated with the finest academic conference in the country, and we can make a day trip to watch the Tigers play against AT LEAST six of our conference foes (Duke, UNC, NCSU, Wake, VT, GT) and we have awesome places to visit for the farther opponents (Miami, Boston, New York, Pittsburgh, Louisville...even Notre Dame is close to Chicago).
Academics that can't be matched by the Big 12 or SEC. Geography that can't be matched by the Big 10 or Big 12. History that can't be matched by anyone. Great Men's and Women's basketball, Men's and Women's soccer, baseball, golf...the list goes on and on. Football is not "great" every week but a conference with Clemson, FSU, Miami, GT, VT and Louisville...and one that Notre Dame plays at least five times a year...is not too shabby.
The only problem with the ACC is 1) leadership and 2) we need to dial-in some rogue programs. Obviously UNC is a train wreck, Syracuse has issues, FSU is an embarrassment and how Miami avoided penalties is a miracle.

Do those who support a move to the SEC realize that if it ever happened then the Clemson - Carolina game would go away for a few years thanks to SEC divisional rotations?

Ideally we just win back to back national titles and get the ACC a better TV deal with sec money. Either that or redo all the conferences and put all of the SC, nc, florida and georgia teams in one conference.

ACC. We have enough conference strength to guarantee a playoff berth is we win out. We have some good teams in the ACC, but as a rule the schedule is not usually brutal.
