It was surreal really. An entire half of our 3 and outs, to giving up the lead, then the RTP chaos, watching Dabo jumping up and down next to Wes at the the end of the coaches box like BV used to do trying to hold them, to them taking the lead and their fans going nuts (and thinking we are possibly going to get jumped trying to leave the stadium), to us finally getting some offense to take the lead, to again watching Dabo doing everything he could to will the defense to hold them, then the int as time ran out…

It was grey and cold, but it was really warming to watch the team celebrating a hard fought win. Say what you want to about the talent and coaching, but the team didn’t give up like a lot of the fans seemed to. That’s really something and shows the character of Dabo, the coaches and the team.

It was a long drive home, but so much better with a win. Go Tigers!

I had a seat on an aisle on the home side surrounded by Pitt fans, some of whom were my extended family so nobody was annoying. Saw a fair bit of older Clemson folks, a couple decked out in gear nearing costume status.

With Thurman going down on the first play my optimism was tempered.

A little while later in the first quarter some idiot running up the stairs started vomiting as he went and my leg got splashed, so I missed a bit as I went to the men's room to clean off what I could.

We looked a little better but everyone hated the refs. From the stands the incomplete pass that looked like a fumble drove everyone around me absolutely nuts. We really couldn't see it. Sammy's targeting looked like a regular roughing the passer to me. They weren't too vocal about that I think for "there but for the grace of God go I" sentiments. They hated the fumble forward and the lack of the hands to the face call...the late appearing flag did appease.

I was not feeling good in the late fourth quarter and it wasn't entirely due to multiple Iron City tall boys. It started getting really cold and the wind picked up mid-fourth.

Cade's run was completely unexpected and I am pretty sure I just stood there mouth agape for a good fifteen seconds.

Bonkers finish. The Pitt faithful I was surrounded by took it well; with Holstein out they thought they were going to get blown out. They didn't know us very well, I suppose.
