You’re not wrong. McCloud shouldn’t even be on scholarship at Clemson. The fact he was being counted on as depth tells us all we need to know.
I hate it for the kid I truly do but injuries are part of this game and the blessing in disguise is now they have to let Sammy Brown play who is a much more talented player.

agree to a point it’s part of the game but something has been off the past few years and more injuries; especially zack tears have occurred. it’s either worse conditioning or poor recovery treatments i suspect .

It's not recovery. We just opened our state of the art center this past year. It's supposed to be one of, if not the tops in the country. Or we got snookered.

Depth was already an issue at linebacker. I know we have a few excellent linebackers but depth is key.

Article doesn't say but both are knee injuries. Good thing we have a bye week to crash course a LB into some sort of shape. It may indeed be good that Hannafin was moved to defense.

From what I saw no. The McCloud injury was due to his own over pursuit of the receiver. He slid awkwardly and bam. The knee goes.
We will be fine. Next man up. Injuries are a big part of the game and Dabo knows how to drill into all backups that they are only 1 play away from being “ The Man”

Hate to see anyone hurt, especially season ending in the 2nd game.
Silver lining is we have one of the easiest schedules and what appears to be weak offense units we go up against.
It's not that we don't have talent, linebackers and safeties in our scheme are difficult and requires experience traditionally. Maybe that's why we went zone with uga.
