Did Weitz break Obed Ariris Record.

The announcers said Weitz 52 yarder was a Gator Bowl record. In the 77 game Obed kicked one from I believe 48 that set the record at the time. It was the only bright spot that night. Doubt it was still the record but would be pretty cool.

Answer. Yes, I did kick a 48 yard field goal. What many don’t know though is that right before that, Rich Tuten stepped on my big toe on my kicking foot on the sidelines, leaving me with great difficulty kicking with that foot. So I made the 48 yard attempt with my other foot. It brought much pride to me. Jah bless.

I was kicker also(never in college), and played soccer so kicking with both legs was a must, but I would have never attempted a field goal with my non dominant leg. That is impressive very impressive.
