Michigan stinks this year. And inside the SEC, they avoided Bama, UT, Ole Miss, South Carolina, and Missouri, which were the five best remaining teams in that conference.
They lost twice to Georgia. They beat A&M by a whopping 17-7.
Texas is tough, but they're not a great team by any measure. Just good is all. Clemson has the athletes to hang in this game. And I think Dabo relishes being overlooked and underestimated.
I'm picking Clemson in a mild upset.

Texas is favored by 11, it will be a big upset not mild. I'm with you though, something tells me we will be more motivated and our boys will come out with their hair on fire and pull that upset off.

Put pressure on Ewers and he becomes a VERY average QB. Porkchop has to find the nads to call the blitz. Gotta do something to disguise it, but yeah. Bring the heat and we can do a lot to neutralize their offense. Then Dabo/Garrett/whoever is calling plays has to have the nads to take a few chances. NOT trick plays, but they have to call some quick slants over the middle of the field and some designed QB runs. We also have to replace Mafah if he isn't 100% ready to go. We MUST have some semblance of a running threat, whether it be from the QB or from a TB.

No pressure on Clemson, we aren't supposed to be there so our guys will play loose

This year is very different from most years. There is no 2019 LSU or 2018 Clemson lurking out there. It's some 2 loss and 1 loss teams in the playoffs, all with warts. Look at Notre Dame. They lost to NIU. Even Oregon is lucky to be undefeated, barely surviving a few tough games with special teams plays to bail them out.
If there's ever a year for a 9-3 Clemson team to have a shot, this is that year.

Our depth will be the biggest risk. We have consistently worn down in the 2H against the better teams we played. Hopefully, we can win time of possession and turnover margin. Sustained drives rather than 3 and outs would really help. Also, red zone efficiency will be big in this game. Need TDs over FGs…

As you and I have been both saying....we have a talented depth/roster management issue.
DO I think Texas is beatable...yes. But I don't think we match up well and they have much better talented depth.
