This is my assumption as well. The other RBs can’t do it and with all the OL issues they didn’t want to put Cade in that situation.

Yeah Haynes hasn’t had a carry in several games. Or at least none to amount to anything. I guess pass pro

I noticed in the last game he was going out of bounds to avoid contact. That’s just not like him. I thought he may have been playing hurt then.

Because he is that good. Do you not like Clemson players doing well in games?

My guess is ball control

It's clear he ain't 100% and also clear that is currently affecting his pass blocking as well...
However, for the most part his bloacking has been good this year, and he's held on to the ball in tough running situations (such as ending the game last week). Might be some worry about the guys behind him and the ball control?
With that said, I did find it odd we didn't mix it up at all

Ugh. I'd be curious to know too tbh.
Hopefully he gets a good breather next week so he can be as close to 100% come Thanksgiving Weekend

Don’t think the issue today was Mafah’s health, Ace. Think the wounded OL list and the subsequent position shuffling may have been crucial. Of course, feel free to grouse anyway.

The holes were there today. Mafah just hit them like he was running through ankle-deep molasses. We should have rotated in some other guys.
