Mid eighties fastball right over the center of the plate with a below average breaking ball?
Wow, Bakich really has to set the bar a bit higher for pitchers. I knew multiple guys in highschool that could easily compete with what I'm seeing right now

I mean, he’s been great in his first two starts this season. Let’s see how he does the rest of the game

You can't reason with these posters. Tigernick and Jsebe especially. if the pitchers dont strike out the side, and we dont score at least 5 in every inning the season is over according to them.

The fck are you calling me out for btch? My position on college pitching has always been the same...it's inherently terrible...My beef is on the position players.
I spent Friday and Saturday at DK supporting the team...where were you?

Great? He was really good at Tech. At Cal, he went 5-1/3 and allowed three earned runs. That's hardly great.

Hey guys, it's all good....he's only given up 2 homers for 5 runs in 4 innings to a bad Stanford team. He's definitely gonna help us win it all in Omaha
I swear, some of you guys know good and well these pitchers aren't up to task but still pretend like they are world beaters 🤣

They have struggled in ACC play, but it’s not because of their hitting. They are a very good hitting team. Their pitching has been subpar.

Some just don’t get it man , we are beating bad teams lately and have no starting pitching outside of Knaak, this is not a formula for regional or super regional success, forget Omaha . If you look at the top 5 teams in the nation, they’ll have multiple arms that hit mid to upper 90s on a consistent basis , we just don’t have the pitching to do it . When we start playing better teams it will show up quickly .

And some of you are nothing but negative, negative, & more negative instead of appreciating the good which out weighs the bad.

It’s college baseball, so it’s not going to always be pretty. That’s true for every team, every season.
But when my team is 33-5, has the best record in the conference currently, is ranked # 3 nationally and swept out despised rivals (yet again!), I think I would need to be in a pretty miserable mood before choosing be negative about them.

Have you checked out how bad our rival turned out to be ? That is not a series win that exudes confidence at all. Ole miss showed you what the better teams from the SEC will do to our pitching in the postseason

I remember a lot of bragging about our ranking and record last season until we came up against teams in the top 10....I also remember a lot of people on this board reflecting on the season after we got bounced by Florida talking about how we needed to face the fact our pitching was suspect all season and we need to get better....fast forward, we didn't get better in that department

Agree , this team is no better than last year pitching , maybe worse . It will be the same old story again , no pitching and unable to win a regional probably and definitely not a super regional with this lack of pitching .

Evidently you haven’t been coming up with some of the crazy scores this weekend & all the runs. It’s college baseball it’s hard to sweep even mediocre teams. By the way the #1, #2, & #3 team in the nation all lost Saturday. In college baseball you are going to loss some even to inferior teams.

It is Sunday and he did start. I don’t follow baseball that closely but based on the available evidence, I would answer with a yes
