OK, I won't slam Cain since all of the TigerNet armchair quarterbacks still seem to think he's the second coming, but I'm ready to see more of Tee Higgins, Rogers, and Overton in the line-up. Cain has had plenty of games to shine and I just haven't seen anything more than a mediocre performance out of him this year.

Lets start getting more reps for these younger guys. We may just have a few great ones here that just need a little playing time to gain some confidence.

Trevor will need some experienced receivers here as he breaks all of Watson's records over the next 4 years.

I can't imagine how or why he isn't shinning like the stars this season. Maybe I expected too much from him or he's putting too much pressure on himself.

Don't get me wrong. He's caught a ton of passes but I don't recall him missing so often last year. It's not as if he's been undependable this season, he's a great player and WR.

Cain is playing out of position. He needs to be playing where Ray Ray plays. We need a big physical receiver like Overton and Higgins playing Cain’s spot

Don't forget Cornell Powell. I've been high on him since he came on campus. He just hasn't had his opportunity to show it. He had flashes last year but was buried in a deep depth chart. I figured this year would be the year he could prove it but we can't seem to anybody going at receiver other than Renfrow and Milan getting a catch time to time.

Cain has disappointed me a lot since he's been here and has always had drop issues, he started last year with drop issues at times and has been very bad with drops this year. On top of that, we have had a hard time getting a deep pass going downfield, either over or under thrown. If Cain can't get it cleaned up when the ball does hit him in the hands, then what good is it? Yeah he's fast and tall but we have other receivers that are also fast and tall.

I'm just glad we have a good run game to make up for our lack of deep passing. I expect Dabo and crew to work on the passing next weekend against El Citadel to bring up Kellys confidence and to get our receivers back in action. It will be needed down the road at some point.

Expect 2-4 deep shots to Cain next weekend to get it going.
